That depends on the profile you are getting and the responsibilities of the prospective job..
There is no standard salary for any course. Even if someone tells you the minimum salary, u won't settle for that.
I would suggest you to consult some of your seniors if they are in the same kind of job..

try to find other jobs...try to find the 1s wherein ur interested..take the help of ur frenz and plcmnt agencies..
join some coaching class/selling/mkt research/ngo or worst case kpo/bpo...
funda is get a job...
u already hv a gap nd by not doing nething ur increasing it which is again a negative...
since u hv already taken most of exams u already know the pattern which will make it easier to clear them this time...

I dun have any idea about BPO, but my friend what all do you know about KPOs??
For your kind information, KPO is knowledge process outsourcing where research and other important pieces of work is outsourced. That requires a lot of mind work, I guess. Though it is a back office operation, but then it does not mean that it some thing you look down upon or say "take it as the worst case"!!
There are many KPO's which require you to do core finance work that would be helpful if you want to pursue MBA in finance..
I don't intend to convince you by stating the various things about KPO's but one thing that I would like to highlight for you is:
Never judge anything if don't have a first hand experience of it and specially don't just bout your personal feelings in a public forum..

Hi i have very strange query....I have two job offer 1.TCS(paying me around 15K in hand) and 2. mcnally bharat(my departmental company paying me arounf 30k in hand)bt in mcnally dere is bond of 5 yrs and breach amount is 5 lacs.....dis yr I got CAt-95.4%(no calls) and xat 99.01%le(DI ditched me,no XL calls)....i want to give all xams again....i dont know which company shud i join....mcnally gives joing in early july in kolkata only(my home)....TCS i dont know....plz help...i am in dilemma wid so many factors invoved(i am fresher now)....

I have passed b.tech in 2008 and was placed in satyam.but after the fraud cases ,satyam did not give us joining still now.so i started 4 preparing 4 mba from mid 2009 n scored 84.5 %ile this yr...actually i was not expectn such a low score so i had filled up forms of AAA category colleges,n now i am having a single call from IMT N,
now i have decided to appear for cat 2010,so if i have a 2 yrs gap and that too without any work exp,will it be a major problem for me??as there were hardly any recruitments during recessions and now to my despair the IT companies are not considering 2008 passouts...its hard to find a job ..and moreover the bpo/kpo jobs have hectic schedules and might hamper my cat preparations...so i dont want to join there...so will this 2 yrs gap b a gr8 problem??...pls suggest wot i shud do...

Hey, are you planning to do the MBA just for the sake of Money......you never know about the market condition at the time you are elligible for placements........so just ask yourself, why you want to do an MBA, how it fits to ur long term goal and then decide..........

Hey why don't you join some short term professional courses....It will add into your profile and you can always say to the admission board about ur case along with what you have do in the two years.........
Beleive me it is better to have some course that you have done rather to have two drop years.....why don't you try to find some job in Marketing.....

See both the offers have there pros and cons.....working near to ur home will surely benefit you in ur preparation as you have to take care of several things also.......Again life in IT sector is not that great as one might see from outside......please let me know about the profile which you are getting in "Mcnally".......and don't decide wrt salary package bec after ur MBA u will be earning tons of money........also in present times there is no surety that when will you got ur joining in TCS.......

I got 99.54 %ile in CAT 2009 with lowest 93.xx in VA but got no call 
also got 99.43 in XAT with lowest 87.xx agn in VA so agn no call :banghead:... Also got selected for FMS but couldn't convert ..I hope that I vl clear MDI though :cheerio:... I am a fresher with Decent extra-curricular activities and average academic profile (Graduation 8.03, 12th - 77 and 10th 84 ..before CAT calls i thought it was gud but now itzz only avg or even less thn tht i guess)
To be true I am doing my graduation in IT from IIITA but i kinda hate it now and also i don't wanna work (JOB) right now... This is where my confusion starts - Should I go for MDI or rather go for FMS XLRI n IIFT nxt year again (I won't say IIMs after dis year debacle.. can't perform better thn dis i guess)
Much more importantly I was alwayzz fascinated by MBA outside India so wanted to know if there is any GOOD college which can take students without WORK-EX ?? If someone could shed any light on such colleges it would be great help..

Hi ...I am a 2008 (B.Tech) passout ..got selected in campus in IT major..joined in Feb 2009...put in server administration..initially liked it but then had to slog fr 12-14 hrs daily n offer weekend support also....could not concentrate on any other thing(no cat prep)..fed up with the job....
Now I am selected in MNC(i..) for testing profile....not yet given the offer.
I want to switch to the new company...but package is the same.
I have a bond of 50k to be paid if i want to quit my job.
I am in a confused state?

CFA is there for finanace, CABM is there for pre MBA ..... although both of them are a bit costly.
Apart from these try to find some distant courses from your nearby university.........

i will be joining as executive trainee for 1 yr and then i wil get post of assistant manager...and i will get around 35K in hand after 1 yr..everything is fine but bond is an issue..with tcs joining and pkg is an issue.....i am terribly confused...

i mean do they take them into account FOR GIVING CALL..or is it taken into account after the GD/PI..??

listen.. looking at your scores in all the exams this year I would strongly suggest you to go for it next year as well even if you convert the collg you mentioned.. there is no harm in slugging it out one year for your dream college.. i feel it was on account of pure bad luck that you could'nt manage to get into a top tier bschool this year despite your good performances in almost all the exams.. dude have patience.. you are a fresher go work for an year and give your best shot next year.. im sure there is something great in the store for you.. all the best

IIMs do consider acads while giving calls ? IIM C needs high cat score while giving calls ( acads not that much considered ), IIM A has mentioned 70 % minimum in 10 and 10+2 (even if u clear minimum cut off) all the other IIMs give good weightage to acads ( at least seen this year)

As Zener mentioned, some IIMs do have cutoffs for acads, while others consider the CAT score only. So just prepare well for CAT and don't bother about things you can't change.
