What are the legal implications if I don't work up to the expectation of my manager during my Notice Period?
I just got a new job in a company and subsequently I have resigned in my present company. My present company has a notice period of 2 months and no buyout option(available only when manager agrees to). Now, the new company wants me to join within 1 month after which the offer will be withdrawn, whereas my manager is not allowing me to go and is asking me to serve the full 2-months notice period. I have tried explaining my situation to my manager several times but he simply doesn't agree and finally told me that he is not at all concerned about my career prospects.
Finally, the new company withdrew the offer and after this I don't want to work in my present company. I also told my manager that if he deliberately wants to stop me for 2 months then I will be least interested in giving any transitions or KT he wants me to give. So, two questions here -
1. What are the possible legal implications that I might have to face now in terms of relieving letter or experience letter even after I complete my 2 months notice period? Can he deny the relieving letter or experience letter in the absence of the required commitment?
2. If I going to face the heat here, then what possible things can I do to pacify the situations?
Please note that I am still serving the notice period.
I have 1 year job exp as Assistant System Engineer in TCS and currently I am working in a Public sector bank as a manager for more than 3 years, getting a package around 7.5 lac per annum. I am looking for doing an MBA from IIM. I need your guidance if I am taking the right decision to leave the job and doing MBA from IIM or top colleges. Please guide me .I am confused.

Okay so I have secured admissions in both NMIMS and SCMHRD this year...
Now I am in a dilemma as to which institute should I join?
The things going on in my mind are -
Investment - NM would go around 22-23 lakhs...Since 17.5 is the admission fees...And then add to that the cost of living, rent of flat etc in Mumbai hub... SCMHRD on the other hand is 15.5 lakhs with everything included, and adding the pocket expenses, it wouldn't go beyond 18 lakhs.
Campus life - NMIMS has little to offer in terms of campus life and nothing to offer in terms of hostel... SCMHRD on the other hand has much to offer in those fields...
Industry Exposure - NMIMS wins hands down in this aspect or so I have been told...
Average Placements - NMIMS is slightly better in terms of average placements as compared to SCMHRD...
Specialisation - Currently I am not very sure about the specialisation that I want to choose...I have a slight apprehension for finance since generally people have told it to be very daunting...I am more of an extrovert and I guess I have a slight inclination towards marketing and HR but to be honest I don't know much about either of them...
College Reputation - NMIMS scores over SCMHRD in this area...
Considering the above mentioned points, I would like opinions from you Puys...It would be helpful in me coming to a decision...
P.S. I have to take admission this year so don't have the option of taking a drop.
