I am an FPM 2017 aspirant from IIMB, My profile is 


X - (90%); XII - (91.8%);

B.Tech (IT) - 78.6%; MBA from NIT Trichy with 8.31(CGPA);

4.5 years experience as a presales consultant in an IT company;


I have not taken any of the entrance exams till now, can anyone please suggest the best way to make it to FPM 2017, IIMB?


GMAT and RAT are the possible options that I see. Please suggest

Hi all,


I am preparing for CAT-2016. Do i need to worry about the SOP, or can i concentrate on it after my examination(4th December) as most of the institutes have their final deadlines in january. 


I would also like to know what CAT percentile would be required for cracking the exam.


My profile-


10th-91.6

12th-85.6

Grad- B.Tech. ( NIT)

CGPI-6.9 (2013 pass out)

Work ex.- 2 months as a journalist(2013)

                9 months as business analyst(2014)

                1.5 years at a leading coaching institute(2015-2016)

                A lot of extracurricular(is it helpful)

Hi. I would like to apply for the FPM program at the IIMs, but only a few of them have RATs. Others make CAT, GMAT etc mandatory. Is my understanding right? Also, anyone who knows which IIMs (and equivalent institutions) allow RATs for the admission process (and do not make CAT, GMAT etc mandatory), please could you list their names here? 

I've been going through and I understand that IIMB has an RAT, A,C and K make CAT scores mandatory..


Another query: Is age a limiting factor for admission? Any age bars in effect (I mean the top age, and not the lower :) )

Hi, I have 16 years of IT experience. 42 yrs age, Secondary 75%, Higher secondary 69.9%, B.Sc. (Physics) 59.75%, MBA (Chennai) 66%. Want to do FPM an switch to academics. can / should I? What is the chance for IIMs B/L etc.

The applications for IIMs will end in the third week of Jan. The cat result will be in by 2nd week. Should we wait till then or should be just provide the application number in cat and proceed with the application.  Also, what abt IIM Lucknow for which the application has to be send by post.

FPM Admissions at ISB are currently open for 2017 intake.  Bachelor’s or a Master's degree with a recent & valid GMAT/ GRE/CAT/GATE/UGC-JRF score are required for the application. Application closes by Jan 15th 2017. So, if you are keen on pursuing academic career and have a passion for research, then FPM @ISB is the best
