Guys need your help...my profile is X-9.2 cgpa, XII-92% (commerce stream) and grad-9 (b.com (h)). I want to know the minimum cat percentile I require to get a call from top four iim' and what should be my minimum number of attempts in each section for scoring that percentile.

3. B.Tech. 77% (Private College)
4. Work Experience -
4 years in Wipro Technologies - 1.5 years in India and 2.5 Years in the UK.
4 Years in Accenture Services - 4 years in the UK (Project Manager and Architect)
2 Years as freelance Consultant (Project Manager & Architect) in the UK.
Questions - Is this the right time for an MBA for me given that I already have 10 years of work ex? If yes, what kind of colleges should I try for? I am open to do my MBA from anywhere in the world including India.
Are my academic credentials good enough for an MBA from a reputed college?

GMAT score 740 (Q50,V41) AWA 5 and IR 8. (My aim was 760 and was a bit disappointed, dunno if I should give again)
Work Ex of almost 2 years till now in the IT sector(Banking and Finance domain) in the position of Analyst. Have got two promotions in two years and good ratings, Best team award etc. Have good rapport with the people I work. Hoping to get good LORs.
Want to go into Product management or Marketing(not sales). Want to get into ISB mostly as want to work in India. But will also apply to NUS, NBS(maybe), Tepper, SPjain(regualar 2 year), Kellog.
Could you please rate my chances at these schools.

Work Scope & Recognition: Working under payment investigation team, successfully carried out the merger of 4 lobs for which received many accreditation and appreciations from all stake holders. Received strong recommendations for promotion (crossing finger for yr end). In addition i have active participation in all philanthropic and CSR activities. I am Amith Raikar having 2 years work exp as a Software engineer in IT industry.As part of job experience I have been working for an US based client.I have worked in various roles in this short period. Initially I was put in product support later based on my performance I was put into development.After that I have been working in the data conversion part as an oracle database integrator. I also got a promotion in this period with 25% hike.
I have also been working closely with my father in our family based business and have a good knowledge about business.

As far as my ECA is concerned I have led the organising committee of my college's Technical Fest committee quite successfully.
Post MBA , I plan to work in a management consultant firm for 3-4 years. But after that I want to join my family business to help it grow with my experience that I would have gathered by that time.
Would really appreciate a reply.What universities can I aim at?

Hi All, I have my GMAT in Mid Sep. What score should I target if I wanna have a chance to be considered for Duke/Ross/Rotman/NUS/LBS/IE Spain and the likes.
My profile. 10% - 77%, 12- 71%, Btech - 62.5% (First Class as per Pune University Std).
Work Ex - 6 Yrs in HVAC (Air conditioning) industry currently working as Dy Manager - Engineering Design and planning. Have handled projects worth upto 20 Cr independently.
Extra Curricular - Endurance cycling events for the past 3-4 years, a couple of marathons and triathlons. Teaching soccer to youngsters(Although no proof for the same can be made available)
Also How would Colleges in USA and Europe calculate CGPA? Would I be rated low? How can I present my case?
I am B tech from Pune University , 2008 batch with aggregate of 62.5%. This is considered as First Class in Pune University. But direct conversion as per GMAC site would be a low of 1.9 CGPA.

Worked for a top FMCG firm (Gsk consumer healthcare ltd) between 2010 till Feb 2014.
I was an area sales manager and led teams from size 5 to 10. Then was a Brand manager for 1.5 yrs and was part of a very successful brand team (Brand Sensodyne). I was the only one shifting to brands from sales in that year in my company. Overall good leadership exp in this phase of my career and lots of challenging assignments to talk about.
Currently I am working with a mktg analytics startup in Bangalore as a Domain consultant for CPG and have a team of 3 business analysts reporting to me. This is exciting work with most clients from the US and Europe. The culture is very different from a FMCG firm and one of the reasons I joined. I wanted to exp working in start ups before I went in for another MBA to better understand their challenges.
I have been an active quizzer throughout my college life and have won a few national level quizzes. I was part of the university quiz team. I have played football for the college team and I am a runner. I have ran a few 10ks and plan to run the half marathon in oct and I am training for it.
I have been active in committees and event organising (headed quiz comms, cultural festivals etc) and have been part of my earlier mba school's placement committee.
My aim is one of the following colleges Wharton / Kellogg / Ross / Stern. I was planning on keeping Anderson and Cornell as safe schools (Any suggestions on how is Kenan-Flagler, North Carolina would help).
Future aspirations are to enter consulting or get into a good program of a top consumer goods company as plan B.
Please comment of the profile vis-a-vis my college aspirations.
Hi, I am yet to give Gmat and i thought it would be better if i evaluate my profile first. My profile is
10th-76%,12th-66,B.E-65% and i have 5 years of work ex in IT sector as Automation Consultant.
I wanted to know whether low acads will hamper my chances to Good B-Schools and i have seen respective b schools site and they charge huge amount of tution fees approx 40L+ in every BSchool so want to know how does student arrange for tution fees and living expenses though loan is an option but it can't be more than 10L plus if i take 15L as saving than how to arrange for those remaining 15 or 10L??
This is the thing that's confusing me.

Hi I am 27 years old. I am B.Tech(CSE) and M.E.(CSE). I have 2 years of academic (and not industry) work experience. I am Assistant Professor in a private Engineering College. My profession requires me to do research and obtain a PhD degree which I have lately realized I am not interested in. I have keen interest in Personal Wealth Management. Read a lot of economic times and follow similar forums. I have already created a retirement portfolio for myself as I am investing in mutual funds on my own.
