I have a score of 650(Quant- 48; Verbal- 31) I have 4.5 years of exp,

3.8 yrs- Accenture( some part of experience was as a tech savvy, then I shifted my career path by working as Business Analyst).

Almost 8 months- Cerner Healthcare Sol Ltd - working as Business Analyst.

Awards: Got 2 awards in Accenture for outstanding performer.

Extra-curricular: Not much - Was part of Accenture's 3 main communities and was leading one of the a NGO tied up with Accenture.


Please let me know my chances of admission to one of top 20 universities. What could help in making my application stronger.

I have been working at bank of america continuum india for the last 3 + years and managing banking center software applications.I was one of the persons who led and helped the company develop an inhouse team taking the process over from another company.I have won some awards at the bank  and my GMAT score is 700(qa:51 va:33).ir:5 awa:4.I am a computer science graduate from Nit kurukshetra.gpa7.8.I am also a member of bank of america aspire community(ngo type).I have competed at delhi state snooker championship and have also tried my luck in qualifiers for an international snooker championship.I started my own magzine in the college which was a big hit.I intend on entering product management post gmat.Please evaluate my chances for ISB.Will i even get an interview call with this profile?

My role was a very client facing one and I have worked with various teams in multiple locations in Lithuania, UK and India. I also managed an onshore opportunity in the UK last year.

Work Accomplishments- I have up to 5 awards that I have got in the last years. I have certificates for all of them. (Let me know if this needs to be evaluated further)

Need you advice.

I am sailing as a merchant mariner. I am certified to sail as Master (Captain) at sea.

I have been sailing since 2006 with an Oil and Energy major .

I want to switch over to shore.But I am not sure.

Financially, I am in a very sound position.

I am now 33 years old and married.

10th- 86%

12th- 77%

BS Nautical Tech.-Graduation- 75 %

Sikkim Manipal Distance Ed. Post Grad. Diploma in Business Administration- 86 %

Most of my extra- curricular achievements have been at school and college level but not of the sort that typical MBA profile guys have.

I achieved a 600 on GMAT Prep. Diagnostic test. 

But I am not sure whether MBA is a sound investment at this stage.

However, at the same time I do not want to sail all my working life given that normal work life is up to 60 years of age.

I want to do MBA at premier institutes in India- ISB, IIM ,XLRI etc.

I am not sure if I should go for a MBA or not.

Many have told me that post- MBA , my competitive pool will increase and given my age and not so regular background, I will not be able to make much out of an MBA. 

Since, most of the puys are not from such unusual fields, I thought that it is better to get views from puys rather than from my sailor friends.

guys i want to know that how is the scope of doing mba for me, below are the details

2003  10th-----> 81.2%

2005 12th------> 79.2%

2005-2009 btech (mechanical) from lesser known private college -----> 62.42%

june 2009 - march 2013 no job

from april 2013 to till now in a central govt job in ordnance factory board department of defence production as a junior works manager with ctc of 5 lakhs per annum and i am 27 years old.

queries:

1. will i be able to get any good bschool with such profile? if even got 99+ percentile in cat 2014

2. what are the effect of my gap years and low percentage in placement? whether i would be able to get good job in private sector afterwords?

3.would it be feasible for me to do mba?

I am working in manufacturing company as an Engineer.I have six years of experience. My works related to maintenance and technology. My marks: 10th 74.56% 12th : 60% but in graduation it is below 60%. I have some extra curricular activities.  won prizes in presentation etc. I want to study MBA from USA. My first priority is to get full/partial scholarship as I come from humble background. I am not targeting top top 10-20 school. I can settle below 20 or 30 school provided I have good scholarship. What is the minimum Gmat score is required to get such scholarship. I know 700 + would be always good,but it is too tough. Hi everyone. A little help analysing my profile would be appreciated. Im  27 yrs old female, a dentist by profession. Graduated in 2010. Have worked as a dental surgeon from 2011 to 2013 in a non governental missionary organisation. After 2013 ive been working in a well established clinic to gain clinical advanced experience. As a kid, apart from being a considerably above average student in academics,ive been involved in a variety of activities including classical dancing, pencil sketching, writing poems, and singing. After schooling, the academic pressures has narrowed my extra curricular invovlemnt. But my life in graduation has placed me in the activity circle again. Apart from the routine , social work and its need struck me this humanitarian responsibilty which made me participate in many health camps outside college. Also event organisation was something i picked up during my college life. This same motive made me work with a non profitable missionary hospital affliated to cmc vellore for two and half years with a less than minimum pay. With an intention to gain expertise in clinical advancements , i later moved on to join a well established clinic after 2013. All these years of a variety of exposure and experiences have changed me as a person and my outlook. This aroused an interest in procuring a career which involves taking up tasks that challenge my capabilities, or being associated with a dental products research oriented or manufacturing unit. And Mba is an appropriate solution that i figured out which takes me closer to my aspirations. And im planning to take gmat. I scored 87percent in my tenth,ssc board, 86 percent in my 12th standard, and set up a 66percent in my graduation. So what i want to know is , what does gmat hold for a profile like mine? Ive given cat in 2013, but dint put up a good percentile, given the loop hole that i relied on self preparation. But this time i would want to give it my best, and a little expert advice pertaining to my situation is all im seeking before going for it. Also what will be the best time to give the exam. My dream has always been the top notch schools iim a, b, l and isb. So i also want to know wether the gmat score is valid for iims. Would be thankful if you coud throw some light on my best chances.

i am thinking of starting GMAT prep.but firstly i wud like to get an idea about what my chances are of gettin into a gud b school like isb H or top 25-50 b schools around d globe.what min GMAT score do i need to aim for in order to get into the above mentioned b schools.Also wat kind of additions in terms of co curricular activities and otherwise do i need to do to my cv to improve my chances..
