Usually the colleges cant do that ... just make sure your friend is not playing a prank on you.And before letting out the calls, the people in the waiting list have to be given admission calls.Think abt this.

wel i hope he is playin a prank wid me.... nd the other thing is that mine name is also in waitin list even if its one percent correct then its really bad yaar... wel pata nahi waitin list wala ka kya hoga???? do u hav ny idea then plz tel m.......

Based on pre yrs records.. most waiting list guys are called (till 45 or so) but this trend cant really be conclusive because of the uncertainty in how many people will leave SIMS.

hi ankit thats rite v cant b sure of that trend dude... but if its til 45 then i hav a ray of hope... thax man nd congrats 2 u for convertin the call.....

at last i found a senior!!!!!! from last few days i m askin a question... my name is in waitin list:-(:-(:-( so cud u plz tel m up to wat no r d chances of gettin in to the institute??????? wat was d trend last year????? it wud b of great help if u cud plz reply?????????

I think somebody has already answered that question...It depends on the no. of cancellations this year. The waiting list is according to merit so your name goes up the list with each cancellations

:-(:-( Thanks..........but this was a very diplomatic answer..........i think till now no one has answered this query......nw i hav started feeling that u guys(sims) r very ambiguous about waitin list.......bt atleast can u gve me an idea regardin last year's trend!!!!!!!!!

Hey Atul,
Relax buddy....dont get all nerved up.Ankit has said it rite and infact the prev batch ppl hav tried their best to resolve all queries.
As far as your confirmation is concerned....believe in yourself and have sum patience.Eventually you will get to know the result.What will you get by worrying bout it rite now.If its in your destiny......no body can stop you from getting into SIMS.
And if its not..then comeon...its not the end of everything!!!!

Hi Seniors,

I want you all to throw some light on the Median Placements in SIMS ?
I know that the site shows that average is 7 lakhs approx, but average salary is not the right indication, so Im interested in median salaray.
I have a total work experience of 2.5 yrs in a leading IT company, so that is why I want to be sure as far the placement figures are concerned, before I get admitted to SIMS.

Also, the site states that the highest package is 14 lakhs, which branch is he/she from ? Can you tell about how the different specializations fare wrt Placements ?

Is it that laterals have a separate placements wherein theyll be offered higher packagesplease elaborate.

the highest salry is 14.7lac and is given by sybase which s an IT firm its a marketing profile.
thats all i know.
hope that eases ur decision.
