god they are making it tuffer day by day..my worst nightmare if they don't take the snap score into account...

ya simple calculation also says that by having 40:60 ratio the snap score will still be playing a crucial role but the margins will be small
for eg
scenario 1:
60:40
A has 100
B has 60
A gets 20(avg score)
his total 60+20=80
B needs 44(not possible) to break even
so we see the difference her that here snap score plays the role
Scenario 2:
40:60
A has 100
A total: 40+30(avg)=70
B has 60
B total: 24+46(gettable) =70
so its more of a fair play here
so its simple maths
caz they don't expect people wid snap scores in early 60 to score full out of full in GD PI
calculate ur scores like this people.......

yaar i am jus assuming that caz i jus wanted to show the worst case scenario..and needed to drive in the point that how the merit list is made...jus assuming dude..me not the final word on the merit(I WISH I WAS):D

the more i think about it, the more i feel my gd pi didnt actually go that well??: .....i had actually forgotten all about it and was concentrating on other things in life when i read concerned SIMS-to-be analysing on theirs and i began too.......and i feel i did bad 😞 .
i have 80.50 score so am hoping the ratio will be a bit inclined towards score.....hope i just reach the avrg for GD PI.......
also i think waiting list funda will definitely be there.......coz there might be many students who have not kept SIMS as last option .... however it'll be great for a senior to clarify on that.....
P.S. managed to scrap thru shortlist for KJSomaiya. have to start some serious prep for tat coz if not SIMS at least shud have sumthng in hand!!!

Good to see that everyone is more or less quite satisfied with their GD/PIs....Whther we make it or not(of crse thats really important) but the fact of the matter is that we all really worked hard and did the best that we could......now what lies ahead is something that none of us has control on........Though I really wish that everyone makes it,that will not be the case...There will be a few who will not....( might jst be me) but atleast we gave our best and in the end thats wat matters the most....SELF SATSIFACTION.......
So if not SIMS then maybe something better is in store for us just round the corner........

just one final day of interviews left......all the very best to evryone who have their GD/PI tomorrow.......like evryone's said its simple and you will definitely do ur best if your are relaxed...........

Hi guys,
Finally I did wat most of u have already done yes I am talking abt my GD/PI.
It was more or less went as expected and as u all have already discussed u r experience mine was also the same.
There were total 14 batches 5 in the morning session and 8 for afternoon comprising 10 students in each batch.
It was really cool the seniors the campus the hostel facilities amazing .
First we had a presentation then a 20 min psycometric test.
Then we had our CASE STUDY session there also everybody got an equal oppurtunity to explain there viewpoint and we all did well thats wat I feel.Case was judge by panel of two .
Then we went for our interview session there also three panelist were there and they were quite happy go lucky people no stress no counter questions.
As my strenghts is marketing and they asked me questions on marketing it self besides common questions like
Why MBA?
Tell me something abt u r self:satisfie:
Why should we take u?
U did u r BBA then why MBA?
Who is marketing guru?
Wat is Marketing for me ?
Difference between sales and marketing?
HAVE I done Marketing research and wat have I learned from it.
All these questions i answered to their satisfaction along with relevant examples frm international . national and local scenario.
It went well.
I thought i did exceptionally well but all candidates were equally satisfied and all felt that they did equally well.
Then immediately we had 2 session there we had 2 panelist but frends plz let me know they just asked me abt myself then why MBA and finally wats my take on Retail sector( which I answered quite well with e.g of reliance, walmart and comparing retail with IT).
But ONLY 3 QUESTIONS then they asked my SNAP score I said 90 they said ok thank u.
I really dont know wat should i say abt it .it was only for 3 mins.:(
Anyways it went well and at the end of the day I am quite satisfied person.
besides that I was reading u r earlier posts of 60:40 or 40:60 let me add that anybody with score like 95+ u r through guys and the reason I am saying it coz there were hadly handful of guys out of 100 students with score of 90+. Most of the students were in the range of 65-80.
So lets hope that we all make it through ,
And finally seniors were damn friendly and helpful thanks guys.:satisfie:

with one minute to go before the interviews get over for the people in SIMS me writing all my best wishes to those who will secure their admission inthe institute
Guys dont lose HOPE is the moral of the story and YES if u need the institute , u ll get it as wants are different from needs

so finaly all the gd/pi are over so gyus u all must be relaxed 😃
but then its really difficult to stay calm after the interview specially for me since this is the only substantial cal i have , cant wait for 1st march but anyways best of luck to all hope all of us could make it to SIMS. It would be interesting to have a pg group in pune
