Wat RECOGNITION do u think SIMS doesn't have?

hey guys...cud anyone give me the rankings of these 3 institutes?
SITM, SIMS and SIIB.
I am an elec enggr.
I would definitely say SIMS has the best infra as well as the best crowd. regarding placements, SIMS avg is said to be 5.2, while those of SITM and SIIB are arnd the 4.5-4.8 mark. but i dont know to what extent this is true....
the snap cut-offs for SITM and SIIB are much higher than SIMS, so the students are definitely more intelligent. but that said, the defence folk are better spoken and can present themselves much better

and here goes my GD/PI sagaaa....

reached the sims campus...AWESOME..!!the process started at 12.45pm...seniors were cordinating wonderfully...we all were taken in grps (of 11candidates in each grp)to the auditorium..shown the inspiring sims presentation,given pshyco test and the essay..somthing like..."problems u faced in life,how u took charge of them.."(20mins time alloted)..
then each grp was taken for the case study..."truck manufacturing company manufactured trucks wid 2axles n innovative features.but the Vice President comes to know just a day before the launch that the customers load these trucks beyond capacity.so wat shud the VP do..delay the launch.make the trucks strudier..?".
...so..we all got the chance to speak..
then first PI..2 panelists(one faculty,one frm industy..thats wat someone told me)
they asked..tell us wat ur dad does,ur address,why mba,wat specialisation,hobbies,wat other back up plans u have if u dont get selected,sensex boom..ur comments..why so..!!15minutes over..
they say thanks miss sonal...me smile and say..good day sir,good day sir..and comeout.
its 4.30pm..me hungry..go to sims canteen and eat...(take quick 10minutes for it)
then next PI..again..2 panelists(one faculty,one frm industy..thats wat someone told me)they asked..why mba,wat specialisation,hobbies,why sims,ur 3 strengths,why shud we select u,why shud we not select u,where do u see urself 5yrs frm now,why mba..why not ur own technical line..why..why..??20minutes over..

me fill the feedback form...thank the seniors and wish good luck to fellow aspirants..look around the sims campus..wonderful....
and reach home...now waiting for 1st march..just like all of u...!!

Can anyone confirm about the Placements of SIMS , The site link is not operational and have no clue about the what exactly was time taken to complete the placements for all SIMS people .

Hi phrozenfire..

SITM & SIIB cater to a niche sector...telecom & international business resp.

Its illogical to compare them with SIMS which is a general managemnt institute.

It all depends on ur interest and how u want to go bout ur career...u can get concentrated on a particular sector only or keep urself open minded cause u never know where ur interest might be 12mths down the line.

HI LEO,
Dont take it in an offensive manner....I just wanted to say that in civilian community SIMS is not that popular bcoz they dont get a chance go to there...That's why most of them dont know about it...I didnt want to say that SIMS is a good college or its not popular....If I meant that then I wud not have been so desparate to take addmission in SIMS..

No offence taken but since SIMS is only for defense junta, we at the institute don't even try to make it popular among civilians.
We are proud to say that corporates who come down on campus year after year are more than happy with recruits we have on offer & they never ask for any RECOGNITION.
I hope you have done enough smart work to convert SIMS call, its high time you start believing in the institute and refrain from making any further unwanted , invalid comments.

Going further i would only like to say ,folks lets stop commenting on the institute now once that the GD PI sessions are over. If anyone had any doubt in the first place about anything then can go back to the previous posts or the SIMS website to affirm the high credibility of the institute.

I would once again like to request all the restict our posts in this thread only regarding SIMS discussions and not raise various unrrelated topics . Disclipline is the key thing as mentioned in the presentation too.

Suggestions and Wishes always welcome .

Wud Like seniors to interact more through this thread with people aspiring

i think sims i way above the compared institue. i being in sims can vouche for the fact that sims leads to overall developement and we at sims make managers which create a difference rather that just normal managers. As far as icfai i havent got positive feedback from my friend studying there but to be honest i cannot comment on it but my feeling sims is much better.

And seniors plz confirmthat results would b out on 1-03-06 anxiety level is increasing with each passing day.

i would request you to visit the sims web site and see the imp dates and you shall get the answer as to when the results are coming out if there is any changes it shall be put up on the site itself .
