its nice to know that u ppl want to start with a yahoo group for ur batch. Though u have made a mistake regarding the naming of ur group.
It should be BATCH OF 2008 and not 2006.
You have to take in consideration that batch of 2006 will pass out very shortly and double naming will cause confusion in our alumni community.
Kindly make a new group with 2008 as tag and close the 2006 group.
ALL ur letter have already been dispatched Mr. Sharma......the result was declared on 1st .... letters dispatched on 2nd... n today is 4th... so it's been just 2 days ..... ur location is delhi .... n it takes 28 hrs from pune to delhi by train..... n give some time 2 our postal depatment .... i think u'll recieve ur letter in next 4-5 days taking into consideration that tomm. is sunday......don't get too restless......
RAGHAV, we always recognize the batch by the year when they PASS OUT from the institute.... so urs batch will be 2008 batch ..... kindly close the group named as sims2006batch as soon as possible....
well sakshi the laptops were offered by HP n IBM....config was almost the same for both of them....60 Gb HDD....512 Mb RAm.....Centrino 1.6 processor....combo drive...wi fi enabled.....one 128 mb pendrive free.....leather bag free...

LAPTIOPS:-what is the config(EG:-memory size, disk size and processor speed and some additional features) that IBM offers in campus and at what price?

hey sakshi i would really suggest that if u can wait for a while for a laptop dont buy it from outside as in our coll we get the best config and best price available and no where in yhe market do u get this offer . so i would suggest u to buy ur laptop from the coll itself . rest all upto u. tc reg yuri

Ya, I think too that the best idea for us would be to get laptops from the instt as well cause the companies offer good deals to students at b-schools where they get a lotta business.....might sound like a stupid question but just wanted to ask if there's only one paticular config that these companies offer.....or we can go in for any config...a different RAM...More HDD...a faster processor etc according to each individuals specific needs..... Basically do we get the option of being flexible in choosing a config while at the same time being provided with discounted price offers........ Been a week and have't yet received the confirmation letter......I thought that the letters are couriered to us...wonder whats taking soo long...... Wats up with you guys.....all the excitement suddenly seems to have died out.......
hey sharma, the companies do not provide different config 2 different student simply coz it's not feasible 2 them.... but they provide quite competitive cofig which is best suited for us.... i hope it clears some doubts...
hey guys help me out... i got a few close choices between colleges and i cant make up my mind for sure.
The colleges are... SIMS, KJ Som, welingkar, TAPMI. Please tell me which one should i join... i really dont care where the college is or how the facilities are... I just care abt the PLACEMENTS.
Also is avg. salary of 5.2 Lakhs for SIMS VERIFIED.
@Hellfire....If I were you I would definitely go in for TAPMI...cz thats way above all the other instt that you have mentioned....SIMS of course would be the next option after that...though it will be really close to welingkar...and KJ a big NO NO...its really losing rep....thats my opinion though......but ya TAPMI i am really sure about
@Rainbowsparks....haven't received the letter yet.....you in pune and u haven't yet received it..thats makes me think wil have to wait atleast a week before i receive it......
