you all must be feeling i'm wrting in quite late but i personally feel it's never too late
first of all congrats to all selected ppl, i'm from chandigarh, so ppl from chandigarh do reply...
yeloow!!!!!hey people its been long since i have posted on the group ok now comming straight to the point what about the study material for panchkula guys i heard people in chandiogarh have recieved the study matter some 3 days ago...well moi still aprehensive n every time i come online i do make sure to check out the sims website k mera naam abhi b list mae hai...:wow: ....well thats the kind of feel i have ...well as many people (most of them except US the panchkula valee)....have recieved it shayd dakia hamari b dak lae ayee..hey wat about the presentation stuff..well i feel it means ppt..caz it can't b slides..( caz last i heard sims was not in stone age..)....:
.....so philip cotler...hmm..have heard its the bible of management..okie dokie...n freakonomics have heard about this bok...dunno wat but sure i have...chalo jahan itna wait kia vahan thoda aur sahi..we mite recieve it in a day or two....chalo hope for the best@bunny dude i wish u all the best for ur xams...actualy my validity ghot over

!! - but for the rest who r having final year exams..the studies r starting soon...and for some of us who r working(like dipti,bharti,rocky,me)..the studies start after we r over wid the job once for all...!!:satisfie:
- welcome savneet..nice to know u...please join the SIMS yahoo grp..sign in wid ur yahoo ID..read messages,post ,messages..know ur batchmates...the link is..(save this link)...
- and please frnds..another advice..do not copy paste or reply to the entire post of someone else..just sign in to pagalguy wid ur ID,reach the forum and the thread...click page u wanna read...and click "post a reply" given at the end of that page....
- Write ur single mail...and just mention the name of the person u want to refer ur reply to rather than letting his entire mail come here again..
- this will help to save space n avoid repetition of the previous person's mail....
- It is just a frndly advice..wid no offences to anyone..just a nice suggestion..:)

i have taken admission in sims this year.
- i would like to know whether we have State Bank of India or syndicate bank in or near SIMS, as i would like to do transaction through these banks.
- also is the suit which we have to bring (NAVY BLUE or Dark blue) as mentioned in the prospectus the uniform or something else the uniform.

ok for starters these are very good looking books n eqully stimulating ( i felt so...no offence) i have completed freakonomics n initially n till the 3rd chapter i felt what crap i can't make it out y this guy has written the book..so it took some grey matter ( precious commodity for me...thoda kamm hai na ) k what this guy wants out of us okieee dokiee people moi won't spoil the fun for you so in other words READ THE BOOK N FIND IT OUT FOR YOUR SELF... .... jada badi nahin hain jus 200 odd pages but it certainly drives in the point ......well for the Da Vinci code types here is the clue k wat this book is all about....read my post carefully i have mentioned wat his book is all about....yup in this post itself....
have started reading good to great n it has stirred varied emotions inside me...yes this is true cz i can feel the book in my hands..(being an avid reader i came to know that it was a treasure trove in my hands)...n some concepts which are mentioned in the beginning of the book i tried to caliberate myself on them n as expected i am at the bottom of the pyramid (for qualities required to be a good to great manager)...well now this book is about companies i jus modified the concepts on a personal level....: ...
n by god kotler looks menacing..now i have a feeling that i do need to burn the midnite oil (tons of it) to even complete the package before time..... ....
so at first glance freakonomics looked like " hey wats to make out of this book" ...but it drives in a very valid n important point....so CODE BREAKERS ...lets find it out..hehehe

"...caz good to great is the most beautiful book ( equally educating) book i have ever owned n i wud like to get my hands on other books also....

Do girls get to wear western formals after the orientation period?
I read in some prev years thread that girls can wear salwar kameezs or trousers & shirts only on the regular college days.This is what the lady at the counter in SIMS also told me.
So cant we wear casuals at all during the regular college days.I posed this question to her but she was not that sure.
Plz answer this real quick cos we all girls need to plan our shopping..

so, all gals ... while packing ur bags for SIMS plz keep in mind rainbowsparks above query n iceguy's answer..... no casuals..... for orientation period.... after that.... in ur hostels.... no where near the acadmic block......
yesss sir!! only sarees ;-)..... so gist is western formals only after orientation...........n many more fat buks await us.....
