Hi Friends,
Long time since anyone posted on this thread as mentioned by Bhabesh, so thought might as well get some activity going on.
Hmmm....17 days into the course .....how has the experience been.......what do i say....
its really been great. Of course in the beginning it came as a shock cause we were put through a very hectic schedule and we had troubles coping up with it plus adjusting to the new place and getting accustomed to it...but after a fortnight i can happily say that more or less, most of us here have gotten into the grove of things and have got a taste of how the corporate works, and mind you its not easy at all......Getting into a B-school is not easy but after you get through one ,thats when the difficult part starts....so guys aspiring to be managers, do keep that in mind...its not easy at all....there's a lot of hard work involved... i know I might be not the best person to be saying that cause its been just about 17 odd days for me, but these past 17 days have been a great learning experience.....
Taking about SIMS in paticular, its an awesome place to be in....The infrastructure is really great and the best part is that they offer everything that they mention in their prospectus....the management is also very organised and its the students who take all the responsibility on themselves and make sure that they do justice to the task on hand......
Things looking great ahead, with good placement prospects......by the way, Symbiosis soceity been ranked 4 in the Latest Business Today Survey...so things really starting to look bright.....and ya all those apprehensions of AICTE recognition have also been put to rest, cz SIMS is now an AICTE approved Institute.......
Guys who aspire to be a part of this esteemed instt in the next year, please put in lots of effort cause the competition to get into SIMS this year will be even more tough.....
Kindly post in ur queries if any....I am sure our batch(the Freshers) and our seniors would always be more than obliged to help you out..................

The snap dates and the forms are out....I am sure that everyone must be really working hard to crack CAT and then maybe think about SNAP....wishing all of you all the best for your prep...and yeah...like I mentioned do post in any doubts that you have...and we will be more than glad to help you out......

:D Dude Sharma..............I happen to browse the Institute Web site and was surprised/shocked :satisfie:to see that the max sal for the last batch domestic is put up as 14 lacs p.a. .......could you kindly check on that. I am presently on study leave............3 years work ex so would be looking at good lateral placements....please do let know the inside stuff!!!! Ya also the cut off of your batch and wat do you feel the cut off are going to be like this year???

hi! this is raj frm delhi.this year preparing for mba.specially my intention is more towards symbiosis.
my agony is that i had completed my graduation in 2005.so till this year
snap result will out ,it has been a gap of two years.that what i think is the worst thing that shall make disaster in gd/pi.i'm sure that i will surely clear the cutt-off this year and get call too.
even worse i don't have work exp.totally devoted my two years for mba prep.
any comments on this are most welcome.......................plz motivate me.:(

Hey

this query is specifically to all the seniors from SIMS. The form this year has a little clause which says something about work ex of more than a year and less than 4 years is preferred. I wud be having a work ex of around 52 mnths by this december. Couls you be able to throw some light on this issue as to is there a policy wherein whole admission process would be skewed against candidates who are out of the specified work ex bracket.

Would also like to know the exact break up of guys who have a work ex out of the bracket i.e. less than a year or more than 4 years.

nice to see the thread alive once again....i am sure like last year now that SNAP has happened more and more people will join in with time.
Anyways answering watever lil queries I read....
The cut offs arn't actualy disclosed but last year our guess is that the cut off was somehwre around 55.
This year,since the number of applicants increase each year,my guess is that it'll be higher than that.
As for the work exp query,well as you urself wrote that the prospectus says that more than a year and less than 4 years in preferred...but of crse that doesn't mean that u will not be considered if you have an experience which is more than 4 years....
If you do get a call, what you have to convince the panel is that you have a well though reason for everything...as long as you are able to do that doesn't really matter if you have a work exp of more than 4 years or maybe a one or two year drop.....
