Hi Puys!

Could anybody tell me that what is this industrial quota and how can I apply for that. Also is there any difference in the placements of the students of defence quota and industrial quota? Kindly help!

there is no difference at the time of placements for industry sponsored candidates and the rest of the batch

SIMS is only for the dependents of defence personals....though there are few seats for industry sponsored candidates...kindly check about that on the website or the prospectus

I gave SNAP this year without any serious prep and hope to get around 50-55.

B.E.( Electronics & Communication) - 70%
Xth(CBSE)- 82%
XIIth(CBSE) -85.6%
I am havin a work exp of 17 months now with an MNC ( ABB Ltd)

What are my chances on a call from SIMS???
Does work ex add any weightage?

seniors plz help.................i didnt know that sims is only for defence category ppl.I was counting on sims.I logged on to their site which said that only 10% are for industry sponsored..The fees there is also too high..does that mean i shud not waste my money on sims...I was expecting a score of 75..

See you have equal chances of getting the admission, the info that there is a 10% seats 4 Industrial Sponsored is correct. Its a good Institute and worth paying that money. I could not make it to SIMS. Still suggesting..... so work smart, Its good

Last time calls went down till the score of 50, though it is tough to compete with such score.But if u do well in GD PI then u can think in affirmative.

so u mean to say i shud apply in a b-school charging around 6 lacs...for 2 years and givin a package of 4.5-5 ayear and that 2 not sure...For 15 seats i dont think its a done deal...ihdin

sharma bahi and others at SIMS.............could you kindly throw some light on last years placements...profiles:satisfie: .....companies:) .........packages et al.Also please let know how important is a LAPTOP well is is must or handy??? Can one bring a long Desktop...would it serve the purpose. Are motor bikes allowed in the campus.....wats the daily dress code ie if there is one......are we allowed to party out on saturdays well do you guys find time????Wat abt the gym and the swimming pool...do you guys get time to use them.

yes you'll get a call.
and thats a pretty decent profile of yours don't worry.
start preparing for gd pi round thats round the corner n believe me this time it'll be tough.

kewl so it begins...well people i might sound like not so kewl but right now concentrate on gd pi..this year its going to be tougher..n fyi yes last year calls were sent as low as 50 but how many got thru in the range of 50-65....2-3 at most 2 for sure caz i know them...and another fyi mediann snap score for our batch is in the range 65-80..here you'll find most of the people..so prepare well.....

PS: yeh sab batein to gd pi k badd ki hain
