@Averma9501 - Take local train. It runs daily and is very convenient to find. Note that there are 3 categories. --- Slow, Fast and Express. Only Slow trains are what you need. These trains will halt at every station. Fast trains will skip Andheri. Go for Letter S written on Train. Note that your destination is Borivali. Those details you will find on Notice Board.
This is how train goes
Origin Source: Churchgate
You board at: Dadar
You de - board at: Andheri
Final Destination: Borivali
Total time: 20 minutes in train
Point 0: The ticket will cost you roughly 14 Rupees Round trip. (I dont remember exact figure, pardon me)
Point 1: Get in at Dadar station and get out at Andheri Station. In Mumbai, East and West are interconnected and you can only transit via foot. So, while de - boarding, be at eastward (i.e., get out of station from right side). That is Andheri East. OR alternatively, before leaving station, just ask someone what to do for Andheri East.
Ref: Mark Twain said - East is East, and West is West, and never the two shall meet.
Keep this statement in mind and while getting out of station, don't forget to clearly mention Andheri East because if you get out at Andheri West (even by mistake), you will take atleast an hour to reach Andheri East from there.
Point 2: Don't go with Central Terminal. Ask someone which Platform you should use to redach Anderi. (Dadar is a very big station anyways)
Point 3: If you don't want Locals; (Highly crowded and risky area as far as pick pocketers are concerned) you can opt for Taxis which will directly drop you at hotel. That is however costly. So, there is some tradeoff. There is an option of Bombay BEST Buses also, BUT that isn't recommended.
BUT I don't give phone numbers since I have received many invalid calls (sometimes with dangerous country codes as well). (Now, I am afraid to disclose my phone no in public. Only my relatives know my number.)
I disabled my fb profile last year. That is the worst distraction ever known on the planet.
Anyways, if you have to say something, use this forum OR mail me: vinou @ indiatimes . com (Remove spaces obviously) Don't worry, I see emails daily and never leave any mail unattended.
@User.000 Bro! how much time it will take to travel by taxi. i will reach dadar around 4.30 A.M. and thanks very much for your descriptive reply earlier.it was surely a applaud-able effort by you.thanks once again.
@sheshadre Hi.. Thanks for the valuable comments on this thread.. Dude, I'm working for a govt. sector organisation (4 years), with absolutely little experience in terms of technical work.. I have appeared for SAIL this time and also qualified for the interview from Chemical Engg.
First of all, regarding the place of posting (boy) and type work, I saw ur earlier comments still can put some light on it as to the exeperience (for further job-switch) working there in SAIL because it's going totally blank right now in terms of experience, in my present job
Secondly, you must be aware in PSUs/ Govt. sector regarding NOC, they don't provide it and also create an issue if asked for (eventhough, on paper it is just a forwarding signature). In interview, if anyone cannot provide NOC, will he/ she be allowed to take the interview? If we get proper relieving before joining SAIL, can I mention about it during interview (not on paper)? Is there any undertaking to be signed (do they accept it?).. I have not mentioned it in my application form, the experience in Govt.
