Hi Dude, Following certificates should be attested 1) 10th standard marksheets 2) 12th standard marksheets 3) Engineering marksheets 4) Letter of joining company or payslip, Note:- Letter of joining with joining date should be attested, if you have attested joining letter then there is no need of attestation of payslip. Many people faced problems on the first day where in they didnot have attested joining letter/payslips. There is no facility to attest at the SCIT campus or nearby, on the day ie 3rd Feb even the local Notary was not avaliable. So dont take any risks and get all documents attested. If they are not attested, they can be attested and sent to SCIT within 3 days, else they dont consider the work ex, as they told my friend. Hope this post clears all doubts.

Hi Ghanu Work experience for which you have proof to substantiate will count. If your offer letter mentions the date of 3 months back, that'll be considered..
PS: Please make sure you carry your latest pay slip as well.
going by the posts, there have been only 'cool', 'great', 'mast', 'super-fine' kind of experiences....... I doubt if anyone has given a 5 in the level of difficulty in the feedback form.........the selection ratio is around 8:1..... i am just not sure if the parameters on which students measure their performance and the panel decides their fate are the same!!!! all the best to all of you puys..........
There are 5 processes to be completed which take around 3-4 hrs... 1. Psychometric test & Essay: Consisted of 40 qs.. visual and situational.. answered on my instincts. Essay: Topic was "Can India create the next Google"- I definitely did not write the best essay, but it was okay.. total time for both P.T and Essay was 25 mins..so finishing the PT rapidly helps..
2. GE1: We were ushered into a room with chairs arranged in a "U" shaped fashion.. Notebooks and pencils were provided. And then we were shown an image - a masked man (looked like a robber) carrying a fishing net and tied to the hook was a letter with the symbol "@" written on it. Basically it symbolized PHISHING.
We were given 5 mins to gather our thoughts and 20 mins to discuss. Did pretty well in this round. Then everyone was asked to summarize in 1 min.
3.GE 2: Another GD, and as soon as I entered, an elderly faculty called me.. He said "Button main laga doon kya??" I realized I did not pinned the topmost button and it was visible.. lol bad impression to start with.. The topic was " Bangalore is NOT the IT capital of India". Obviously, I went against the topic. Overall the GD was not as good as the first one, but I managed to put my point across..
4. Technical Interview: The lady was extremely courteous.. cheerful and cool.. She asked me from where I belonged, where and what did I work etc etc.. she was thoroughly impressed. She asked me the qualities of a team member, then that of a team leader..Then why Mgmt in IT is needed..are IT cos. in India doing good and general questions of that sorts.. Since I had financial experience and engg in IT, she did not go into technical codings etc..Others might not be lucky, so dont go with preconceived notions. I saw some chits on the table which probably were meant for freshers or guys from IT b/g. So, guys from IT and others too, it would be advisable to go through various models of Software engineering, and basics of ERP implementations..
5. HR Interview: A smart lady this time.. I was extremely confidant, and smiled all the time.. and she did too.. She asked me questions based on what I wrote on SCIT's app. Like Dancing, Music and reading etc.. lot of questions based on that. In the end when she said it was nice talking to me..I thanked her for smiling throughout while i spoke.. to this she replied "The credit goes to you, you have such a pleasant personality, anyone would smile looking at you.. " 😃 😃 And then I took a sigh of relief.. my season of the second rounds have begun well...
6.Doc verification: You will need originals of 10th, 12th and Grad marksheets.. All sem results too.. Then work ex docs including work exp cert. OR joining letter and latest sal slips. A copy of all these docs (attested) has to be submitted to them.
Pune is not a new city for me.. Have done my engg from here only.. so, I did not have any trouble in transportation/lodging etc.. Others should make sure they reach Hinjewadi IT Tech park first..then in PHASE 1, ask someone about Symbi or Infosys building.. its very near to it. (Behind cognizant)..
Lastly, the seniors did a great job right throughout the day.. and very extremely courteous and helpful..
Advice: Leave the worries behind, and take it in good spirits.. stay motivated and feel happy that you are one of the select group of people who have reached this stage.

That's why i m Worried if everyone having good experience Even they donot disclosed weightage to snap score,GDPI etc.
For work exp, is it ok if get my confirmation letter which is provided to us after 1 year of our joining and my latest payslip??? Also, can I get this attested by my company's HR?? plsssssss lemme knw...Thnx in advance!!!!

Any One of Following documents should suffice: 1- A bonafide employee certificate from company mentioning date of joining. 2- Combination of joining letter+latest salary slip 3- Experience letter

For freshers, prepare one or two your favourite subjects from graduation... About your projects in graduation in detail, how u implemented them, what technology u used... why mba? why not job first? Why in IT only? Mostly from ur graduation only..
hi friends, had my gd/pi on 4th feb...8am slot... it was a smooth process as the SCIT students were well prepared for everything... Psychometric Test: first we had a psychometric test (objective type) followed by an essay (Mobile Number Portability-Will it increase the competition)...we were alloted 20 min combined for these two.
Then some went for GD and some for PI.
HR Interview : There are some army guys as HR panel. So try to be disciplined in ur approach and answers. The psychometric test answers will be with the HR guy...so make sure u dont bluff in that. he might ask anythin from that. Also general things...i was asked to convince him for 10 min as to why they should take me..i mentioned abt my work-x in Infosys and how its beneficial...he went on to ask everythin abt infosys work culture and so on. As i m from kashmir, he then moved on to kashmir issues and asked me for suitable solutions (guys if u are from some regions with issues, get a glance of that)..overall the interview went for 1 hour for me (quite long)
Technical Interview: If you are a fresher, then college project details will be asked n a few questions from fav subjects. If u have work-x, then details of ur project and maybe the technology as well and followed by a case study (my case study was why xxx company should acquire yyy in US and how will it affect them). Also, the essay will be with technical panel so they will ask u somethin there.
GD1: A molecular connectivity picture was given and we were asked to debate on various possibilities from the picture. we came up with networking,organizational model, population explosion etc etc.
GD2: is Match marriage better or Catch marriage it was a love vs arranged marriage thing. The best part of the panel was that they gave chance to all to speak. So no one was actually left out. But yea u do face certain irritating participants in the grup who try to dominate.
All in all a smooth affair and a good experience. Good luck to those who have the slots lined up for next week. Any quesries, plz shoot

Feedback for the Overall Process :- It was So Smooth. No glitches at all. You don't have to wait for Anything. Everything was on time as scheduled. 😃 :thumbsup:
Psychometric Test + Essay (25min): Objective type Psychometric Test. It was Very easy. And 5 Questions can be done in 5min.. or max 7min. do not waste time on it as you have to write an essay also in those 25mins. i used up 5mins for Psychometric test and rest of the time for my essay. there was no word limit...only Space limit. my topic was "CWG scam : Where are we Heading?"
Then some went for GD and some for PI.
HR Interview : This was my 2nd Interview. HR was supeerrcoool. If you are scared then donot worry. he will make you comfortable. 😃 he asked me about my hobbies. and i spill all the things that i know about them 😛 i.e about music and about Photography. he asked me about my fav singer, fav genre of music, fav BAND etc etc. and my Camera Model number...some of its feature. what are megapixels. etc etc. On the whole.it was very fine for me.
Technical Interview: If you are a fresher, Then Prepare for some questions from your fav subjects. i was asked about SDLC life cycle models. i was asked about some networking question. she told me to draw OSI model and also the respective Protocols. she had also iven me two business related problems.... one was related to marketing.. and other was related to software req and risk assessment. the lady was nice. if you know the answer then just deliver it. otherwise say a Big NO to it. Do not try to frame the answer on the spot. but for the business related problems. Take your Time and say something. She will like it 😛 :). It was also nice for me.
GD1: A picture of a GIRL and a Boy writing something to a GLOBE and were smiling and also some pages were there as the base of the globe. GD was a Fish Market. (Do not make a It like that). make it smooth as it is totally in your hands. panel will interrupt you in between and make sure that everyone is participating it i.e either ruining it or adding to it 😛 :P:thumbsup: All the Best... It was not so nice for me. but Do not worry... Keep the Thought Process ON all the time... it will help you.
GD2: "MARKETING Corrupts Consumer's mind" Another Fish market in our Case. :/ but i guess i participated well.. 😛 Lets see what happens..!
P.S. ALL THE BEST EVERYONE. I WAS SHIVERING BEFORE THE PROCESS AND WHEN I STARTED TALKING WITH MY FELLOW MEMBERS OF THE GROUP ,I FELT WELL. AS I AM A FRESHER AND IT WAS THE ONLY ALL I GOT, I WAS NERVOUS. BUT OVERALL THE PROCESS WAS VERY SMOOTH AND COMFORTABLE FOR EVERYONE. JUST BE CONFIDENT (only thing you'll need in there. as everyone knows how to draw a waterfall model and the osi model :/ lol ).

I was the only guy there who was 20 years old. lol. so everyone was saying that DUDE you have time. Don't loose heart. Keep trying 😃 you can easily make it next year or so. everyone cheered me up very well.. I made lots of friends

Also what role is the essay writing playing..are we getting separate marks for it or is it for interview purpose? Does SCIT provide the final score for selection..it would be nice if the whole process is transparent. We will atleast come to know how well we fared in each round.

Hi Advirgo I'm afraid, SCIT does not reveal to you your score in the end.. You only get to know if you have made it to the list (or are waitlisted) or not..
Each of the processes has equal weightage and hence no round should be considered a waste.. This is because what you write in the Psychometric Test and the Essay would create an image of you in front of the panelist, and it is also a possibility that your interview in particular, didn't go well, but the panelist feels that it was because of certain circumstances, else you have great depth of thoughts.. And the game turns in your favour..
Hence, please take each round seriously! All the best..
