The list includes infosys, tcs, idea, ICICI, thoughtworks, vodafone, KPMG, landmark group, accenture to name a few....

There is no such concept that laterals with 2+ exp will be placed differently...Companies have diff criterion for defining laterals....It's abt how u prove the worth ur exp during interviews.....

The list of recruiters has already been put up on the website. most of these companies visit SCIT almost every year. It is entirely based upon their recruitment as there aren't many bulk placements here :)
There's nothing such as a fixed package for candidates with work ex. Some students with more than 4 yrs of work-ex have ended up with a 6 laks p.a & freshers have known to end up with 10 laks p.a.. It entirely depends upon how u perform in the college. There are a few companies which prefer work-ex candidates and their salaries vary anywhere between 5 to 10 laks.. so nothing is certain. 😃
The placement cell has already disclosed sufficient information.. I think one can decide his acceptance of admission based on the existing information given & not have only the placements in mind while joining 😃

Currently the Merit List and Waiting List has been released.
If students in the Merit List and Waiting List do not opt to take admission, opportunity will be given to currently "NOT SELECTED" lot of students, as per the order of merit, and the same will be intimated to them by email.
Did anyone register posted the documents with DD? If so,did u get the confirmation email that they received?
coz at my place the DTDC courier is not reliable(in terms of timely delivery) it seems, so i am planning to do Register-Post(through India Post) as it also involves signature by recipient and ensures proper & safe delivery as DD is of huge amount.
My question may be silly. But still,Can we staple the photographs(2-stampsize,1-passport) to al other docs including DD,as all things inside the post will be bound together? coz else (esp stamp-size photos) might get folded inside during the post process
I m one of those who made it to SCIT... I browsed through the previous posts.... I would like u to know the job nature after two years of study( can u put it in simple words)...Please consider me as a layman and be more lucid and explain the kind of work I will be doin in an organisation... I know this is silly but again after two years of coding and stuffs in BFSI sector I looking forward with some kind of work like trend analysing, designing new models and stuffs which are pretty interesting.... I m more interested in finance and economics.. Does students get finance profiles l even in software companies like tcs, infy...
Guys never ever use DTDC to send the documents ! The most shit courier service is DTDC... they have misplaced my courier which had my demand draft in it and asked me to wait till afternoon..i have been constantly calling them since last 2 days and they never pick up the call.

I would like u to know the job nature after two years of study( can u put it in simple words)...Please consider me as a layman and be more lucid and explain the kind of work I will be doin in an organisation... I know this is silly but again after two years of coding and stuffs in BFSI sector I looking forward with some kind of work like trend analysing, designing new models and stuffs which are pretty interesting.... If u have gone thru the previous posts, I'm sure u'l have an idea of the profiles being offered to the eligible candidates at SCIT. If u dont i suggest u google some of the profiles which we have listed on the forum(Business analysis, Business Development, pRoject management, etc). Its good to know that u are focussed on what u want and that u are interested in these domains, but SCIT is an IT B-School , so u cant be assured of finance profiles.
U however do get IT profiles in the BFSI sector. 😃 I hope u understand the fact that BFSI is strongly supported by IT and they do need IT managers as well. 😃

Plz tel me whether scit office receives posts on sat & sun?
I am tensed as DD is of huge amount,more so regarding sealing my seat. Plz help.

Don't worry.. It is quite a possibility that your DD might have reached here on Sat-Sun, when the Admissions Dept (in particular) is closed.. Call them up on Monday morning and ask them to drop you a mail of acknowledgement.. Or rather, you can drop them a mail asking for an acknowledgement of the receipt of the DD..
