Should we carry a resume??
@mitchell
Its fine! It was a tress interview. They were judging your reactions. They know everybody is nervous, they check how you react under pressure.
Dont think too much into it. Wait for the results. Concentrate on your other interviews till then
@kshitijsharma ok...but i have one doubt, they put me wrong on every ans tht i gave so is it a negative point on my side ?
@mitchell
not really. Remember that you also gave some creative answers and made them laugh. An interview is only half about answers. The other half are your behavioral and character traits. And the panel are experts in looking into those.
@mitchell
See sitting here I cannot guarantee you what would happen, but I can say for a fact (after attending, conducting or being a part of many interviews), everybody is in with a chance.
please help me.. i have my slot at 1 pm at bangalore..and i have a flight to catch at 7-40 pm..is it possible to catch the flight or should i postpone it?
@rahulhalder if we get your interviews done before, you can leave Electronics city by about 3:30 to 4... It will take good two hours from here to airport.. So you can still make it to the airport by 6 pm..
Still, make sure you:
-Have a cab ready at the gates on the day of your interview
- Talk to any of the Admission coordinators there and inform them of the same before the your group's interview starts..
Hope this helped!
GD PI EXPERIENCE, NOIDA, 8 : 30, 17 Feb
Reached at 8 30 . Presentation by seniors (excellent videos ! jolted me out of my daze with crazy background scores like skrillex , coldplay - they were cool
). Simultaneous verification of documents.
). Simultaneous verification of documents.9:30 We were ushered to the GD rooms. We are asked to pick a chit with the topic written on it from the bowl . It was something about media energizing social campaigns. Discussion was okay a little vague since everyone agreed with the statement. We were asked to summarize our respective thoughts .
Then we were given an SOP to fill out. 10 min . 50 word limit . Three questions. Couldn't complete one answer . Dissatisfied with my SOP.

After this we were asked to wait for our turn for the interview . I was number 4 . Description of the interview

interrupted within 45 seconds of the extempore
P1 : What amount of working hours would you stipulate for employees in your company ? Only 8 ?
Me : No sir , 8 would be the norm but I would keep the timings flexible.

GD topic - Your vision of India 2020
A bit noisy at times but not that point. Made a few entries about Olympics, sustainability, corruption. We were given 2 mins to think and 10-12 mins to discuss. In the end everyone had to present a summary of about 30 secs
Then a form was given - 1. Why career in management? 2. two role models. 3. How will SIBM B help in your long term goals? 50 words each

Three panelists. My guess is that two were professors and one alumnus
One of them presented a bowl to me, asked me to pick up a chit and start talking for 2 mins about the topic immediately.
Extempore topic - trains and nostalgia
Tried to say as many points - largest rail network, personal connection, common man, rail museum(?) but then I stopped as I had nothing more to say. They expected more I think, I spoke for around 1 min only

Then immediately they start questioning me
-Why were you smiling in the GD?
-Do you think you made your points in GD?
-Why is Roger Federer your role model?
-What would you do after the 16 Dec case if you were the PM?
-What do you know about HR? (I had mentioned I wanted to specialise in HR)
-We think you're too soft to be in HR, agree?
-When have you been aggressive?
-Why HR?
-How would a personal with a technical background like you fit into HR?
They were cross questioning too .. All 3 were absolutely unimpressed and were making faces by the end ..
