I purchased the SIIB Prospectus from IMS, registered on SIIB site and send the Application Form along with self address slip dully filled. I didn't enclose any IMS receipt or SNAP Admit Card photo copy or any X, XII documents. Kindly let me know was it mandatory to send these documents. If Yes, is it possible to send it now.

On a personal note: you guys are doin a great job in patiently answering the same old queries..hehe... n i did go thru previous posts n then posted my profile.. thanks

Hi,
You've got a decent score in SNAP and a good profile....this shud hopefully result in getting u a call for the next round...do apply and all the best :)
The total no. of seats for MBA-IB is around 120 and normally the ratio of no. of calls given to the no. of seats is 10:1

I think u shud be applying to SIIB...u do stand a decent chance of getting a call...cheers !
I have one more doubt regarding the admission process..say a person scores 75 in snap....then the points awarded for acads and professional qualification-will it be over and above 75 or does that 75 include (snap score+prof qual+acads+work ex).....

Well..the GD/PI calls are issued on basis of SIIB score...the SIIB score includes the SNAP test score(wid sectional weightages) , plus some extra marks for wrk ex and academic backgrnd...hope that clears ur doubts ...
Oh..What are the tentative cut off's this year? I'm expecting a SNAP score in the range of 55-60 (according to PTindia).. do i stand a chance? Does SIIB consider the candidate profile too while giving out call letters?

as i've already posted earlier.. its very difficult to predict the cutoff... !! yes.. the candidate is given due weightage for his profile while calculating SIIB score...
I am new to this thread. I am apprehensive as to whether I should apply for SIIB or not. This is beacuse of my not so good SNAP score and as such I'll end up with wasting my money if I apply there. As per my estimate, I'll be getting around 65 marks in SNAP.
My profile is as follows: X - 76.6% XII - 80% (Ist in College) B.E.(Electronics & Comm) - 76.64 (4th position in college) Work Exp of 16 months as on Dec 31, 2007 in an IT MNC. Co-curricular - 4 Publications in three different International & Natiional magazines of repute. Extra Curricular - Won a number of prizes during my work exp. and during college too.
Please advise me as to whether I should apply for SIIB or not taking into account my SNAP score and achievements. Although I know it's really very difficult to answer such kind of questions (being very common & repititive) with patience yet I'll be pleased if you even reply in YES or NO to my question. Thanks a lot well in advance.

well..as a seasoned pro 😉 ..i wud rather not comment on the cutoffs...thats a huge hazard believe me...so wait to see hw the dice rolls... SIIB does not give out GD/PI calls based exclusively on profiles...we give sum weightage to the profile (work ex, acad backgrnd et all )...that is added to ur SNAP score...
Thanx again for answering my previous questionIn your reply to my question u spoke abt sectional cut-offs....but when i reffered to the previous posts ...it said SIIB gives no weightages to sectional cut-offs....please can u elucidate as to what u meant by sectional cut-offs...

Dude/Dudette
I neva mentioned any such thing as a sectional cutoff...wat i talked abt was weightage to different sections...understand the difference...we give out calls based on SIIB Score
SIIB Score = Weigted score of various sections of SNAP + Marks of Work Ex + Marks for Acad Backgrnd
