l There is no documented statement to say that whch section is given wht weightage. Some of us have even askd our office and we have been tld tht there is no weightage to any given section . Varun

What ideal SNAP Score is required? I hope to get somewhere around 60+. Will you please explain the nature of placement for PGP-ABM MBAs, their job profile, MNCs or Domestic Companies (Since SIIB is recognized for its IB Program, will that add chances for ABM guys to have International placements being their sharing the same campus), also package. & also guide me how to prepare for GD/PI ? 1) i've done my graduation from mumbai university, and as per the rule here the university considers only the final year marks while giving the passing certificate.complying with the rule,i'd entered only the final year aggregate marks while filling in the snap registration form.however,i now find that siib insists on the aggregate of all the years(which is very nice indeed).so if i enter the aggregate of all the 3 years now,there'll be a discrepency in the details provided by me. what do u suggest i do now?
2) at the time of filling in the snap registration form,i'd not entered my post graduate aggregate since i'd not received my final semester marks sheet by then even though the results were out.if i enter the aggregate now,will there be a problem then?
Please tell me what i need to do?

Please enter ur aggregate marks of graduation in SIIB form...there no need to worry regarding the discrepancy...also do enter ur PG marks if u've got the result now.:)

There's no need to send the receipt of the prospectus if u've purchased it from any of the coaching institutes...just fill up the form with all the details and send it across
If you are sending a DD for getting the prospectus from SIIB,it would be dispatched to u the same day we recieve ur DD thru either Bluedart or Speedpost

There are two stages for applying to SIIB.
Register for SIIB online at Welcome to SIIB. Last date for registration 5th January 2008.
Purchase the SIIB Prospectus & submit the application form enclosed with the Prospectus to SIIB by 5th January 2008.

I guess u havnt read the eligibility criteria for admission to MBA-AB in SIIB..
Eligibilty:
Graduate in Agri Sciences or Agri related discipline from any statutory University with minimum 50% (for SC / ST Categories: 45%) marks at Graduate level.
Non Agri graduates from any statutory University with minimum 50% (for SC / ST Categories: 45%) marks at Graduate level having work experience in agribusiness.
The cutoffs for ABM are lower as compared to IB course. Last year it went arnd 55. Your experience will also be an added advantage. The placements are progressive everyyear in terms of profiles and pay packages. Companies from Agri input, Banks, Marketing research etc visit the campus with major thrust on Micro finance whch is the need of the hour n has gr8 scope. Immediate international placements are few in IB bt rare in AB cos focus is on agri.
I havnt come across any example of stress interviews. Info on GD/PI in later posts or maybe a new thread whn calls are out.

I havnt read the predicted cutoffs by various institutes, so cant say. Bt u wil have advantage due to ur work ex and holistic approach..

A change is being seen in the intake of students i.e. frm freshers to with work ex mainly due to changing industry requirements. Infact this year it has been mentioned tht engineers, CAs etc and ppl with 1 yr or more work ex will be given preference. Hwever the case of preference comes in case of same or slightly less scores. The intake of freshers is there and in reasonable numbers. U can visit Welcome to SIIB and check on the batch profiles to have an idea. Further, u have an excellent academic record and a gud snap score shud c u thru.

I am wondering as to why u havent spoken to the centre frm where u bought the form. Talk to them and explain the situation. Also talk at SIIB office and explain them the case. I am telln u do so cos it wil take me couple of days as i am nt in college and by tht time u can get ur query resolved.
On the other hand there shudnt be any problems as u have the form number with u to be filled on the form. Bt for safety sake wht i have mentioned.
We first year students will help u out neelabh.... Shoot ur queries guys... I along with my batchmates will do our best to solve them.... Best of Luck for all the aspirants....

hello sir, am scoring around 70-75 in SNAP.......plus i have 18 months of experience in a IT company.....satyam computers..... where i hve worked in different projects as a team member with different roles assigned each time.......sometimes a tester/ developer/ documentation......... my graduation details are : 10th - 80.80% 12th - 76.00% B.E (Chemical) - 6.87/10.00 (CGPA) sir, i have not particpated in many of the technical/ non technical events durin my college.....but was a member of few clubs/ societies and won very few inter year dramatic competitios......... so can u plz lemme know whether i stand any chance of makin into SIIB........... thnx...........
