Hi There,

I would appreciate if smbdy can reply to ma queries......

I am Comm Grad., and PG Diploma in Financial Mgmt., with not so good Acads and with 2.5 yrs of work ex. in Finance and accounts field.

1) Now my query is whether SIIB is good for Finance.... I have heard it is decent, I am not worried abt package n all because it is simple if it is good B' School, u will b getting good then. :grab:

2) I see my score will b around 60-65 in dis SNAP, do I have a chance for the same.

3) Which other B'School i can look forward with the said score.

SIIB offers M.B.A in four specializations (Marketing,Finance, SCM, HR)
All specializations have their own centre of excellence.
Regarding chance for getting admissions into SIIB, there will be different cut off for different categories, which will be published along with results.
Most important, don't panic........you will do well.......

Can u plz throw some light on placemnets ... specifically laterals ... i have 3.5 yrs of sales & distribution work ex in top notch MNC's ... wat cud be an appprox package and profile tht I cud get from SIIB ..

moi getting around 70+.. this year's snap.. n according to coaching institute's analysis.. say time... i stand a chance for siib call this year...

what do you say?do throw some light..
my profile:

10th -82
12th-91
be in ece - 74.5??

couple o nse certs..

working for tcs for 14 months till date.

I'm interested in siib.. could you clarify a few details. ( i have gone thru the previous posts)

1. how is the campus? the hostel is it within college premises or both r at different places?
2. and how is the infrasturc?? viz the wifi?
3. are rooms single basis ones?
4. and the oft repeated question: placements.. though i believe that an institute is not a placement agency.. i'm still looking forward to something that boasts of an avg pay of atleast 6pa..

i am currently working as Business Analyst in a KPO catering pharmaceutical industry.
I am expecting around 80 in SNAP and have over an year of experience. Can I expect a call..????

guys !!! i believe if u have a score above 70. then definitely, u'll get a call... though it might change depending upon other aspirants' scores in snap...
last year cut off was 76.5 for open category...
the institute is equally good in all spl.. say marketing,finance,HR and SCM.
if you have a work ex of more than 1 year and acads above 80 through out... then definitely, chances of getting call from SIIB is more....(ofcourse decent score in snap (i mean 65+ snap score))

regarding placements... last year's figures are available on siib website.
this year placement figure will be made available soon....(placement is fantastic here... all branches.. so donot worry!!!!)
all kinds of job profiles are offered here say consultant, sales,reserach etc.... plzz check website for more information....
curriculum at SIIB is very rigorous.. so u become a finest MBA at SIIB...
I believe, i ahve answered most of the questions... if in doubt, plzz feel free to write me or to my other friends at pg....

Hi.......Do not worry about the infra n stuff mate. It is sufficient enough to pursue your 2 years of glory. The campus is as good as it gets. The rooms are on triple sharing basis and the placements.....................well........the website says it all.......Just apply man!!!

Hi Deepika,

Last year the fees for MBA-IB (Open category) was around Rs 4.1 lakh
which has to paid in 4 installments.The fee this year would be more or less
the same.

the 2007-09 batch has around 135 students in the IB batch and agri has abt 66 students ... around this should be the figure this year also !!

Hi,

As cut off for this year will be decided after the SNAP result will be out.But as per last year trend......you have better chance of getting a call from SIIB.
Your knowledge of German will be advantage as our curriculum has German language as a very important part.
SIIB has a very mix crowd, it offers admission to students of all backgrounds like engineers, commerce grad., arts, physcology, literature students etc.

If i need to show them, then i can get it only when i resign, and this is what i don't want to do now as u never know what's going to be the result. Is there any other solution to this problem.?

Hi,
It depends on the time when you will be leaving your organization.If you are
going to leave your organization in May 2008, then put wrk ex accordingly otherwise till Dec 2007 will do.

Hi,

Yes, you are supposed to show work-ex document at the time of GD/PI.
I would suggest you to talk to your HR personnel, as many companies give a letter stating"..............employee is working with us from XX--XX--YYYY till date." This letter is totally different from experience letter.
Bring your last salary slip alog with other documents.

Need some input regarding the Agri-business course..
How is the course and the placement scenario...
My sister has taken snap and expecting around 50-55..
Can she expect a call??
Also is the entire profile ( work-ex/acads ) considered while giving the calls or is it considered in the second stage..
