Congrats for your selection in SIIB and Fore. The selection depends upon your interest. Placement and ranking wise Fore is ahead, but SIIB is emerging as one of the good B schools. Another factor which is relevant is your interest in Global Business Management. One problem with a degree in International Business is, it is foucssed on Global Business or rather Global trade. It is a very sepcialised course. On the other hand what Fore offers is a general management course. One advantage with a General Management course is that you can keep your options open. If you sepcialise in one area like IB or Communications or Rural etc you will be branded as a specialist. That may be a strength if you want to conventrate in that area. The choice is yours pal. BTW what are UR other options?

i have a waitlist no 24 in siib and have cleared fore also. cant understand which to select bze both are at the same position this time on, just that fore had been a consistent performer as far as placements are concerned for the past few years, can anyone from the 2 colleges cud help me about the positions and which one to select. thanks preeti
i got final call from siib .. rank 77.. .but need mre info b4 joining...can any one give gyan as to how good is the institue and ..claims abt placements... seniors and other call getters pls helpppppppp!!!....cos last date for fees is coming close....
also i have converted tapmi so which can be the better option ?? plz plz plz!!! thanks !!!:x
thanks for that piece of advice. apart from these 2 i have nirma, somaiya n nmims. dont know how much of a chance i have in nm so cant take any risk for that. thats why i was getting confused for siib.

hi congrats on getting thru both coll.but frnkly siib n fore has no comparisons.u shld definetely go for fore.it has very good placements n dere campus is also veryyyy good(siib ke paas to apna campus hi nahi hai).

hi ppl! i m sailn in the same boat as trinity....got both siib and tapmi...i feel that foriegn trade is the thing of future also the location advantage with siib...but i feel that we will eclipsed by the big brother scmhrd in the same campus...also i have gone through all the rankings and siib doesnt foure newhere...... for tapmi , figs always within top 15.... but the location and infrastructre is disadv.. i feel plcament wise siib is marginally ahead... so quite confused:huh: .... enlightened sour plz pour in with suggestns...help me make decision..last date for fees for siiib is 18 and for tapmi is 21 march...so pgites help and fast cheers!!

i have finally decided to go for siib if i m thru on the 19th. with the information i could collect, 80% of the people favour siib over fore, even my friends in delhi have the same idea. so people joining siib, plz come over and lets know about each other.. its the students who are going to decide how the future of the college is going to turn, so lets put our best to get this one into the top slots. hope this thread will be full of life again.

Do u stay in pune? Have u got through SIIB? I have accepted the admission offer. Could u pls note the name of financial firms and consultancy firms which came to SIIB for placements this yr (or finance stream in general)
