This 400 placements are just one week back figure as on today the average package is almost 5 lakhs because these are the top placements. It is still going on companies are coming to the campus on a regular basis.
The other institutes are also on the same range only may be little less.

Sri Balaji society has a good placement record. BIMM being the pioneer institute has got an edge on other institutes but end of the day individual performance matters
i visited d college on 1st week of feb ....and i spoke to few f d students dere...they were saying tht they dunt sit fr package less than 3.6......and this year till feb 25-30 students gt placed in LG wid package 5.5,,,,,,,,,,,,,and this s d highest till then .....so guys jus think hw d average package can be 5lac/annum.......its Mission imPossible....
:shocked:and no. f students is very large in quantity near abt 1000 to 1200....n among them only 25-30 wid 5.5lac/annum....then its critical ...so the quality f placement is hampering........any one else know d scenario kindly share d real information....after all its question f career , future and life............:cheerio::clap:

yr observation is correct but nt the whole truth..look boss competition is everywhere...u have to sustain dat...MBA placements are not a cake walk...yes sri balaji society has 1000 people but that doesn't mean that the quality of placements are poor here..your inferences are totally incorrect regarding LG because our placement process is an ongoing one for 6 months..we have a network of 10k companies...so anytime any vacancy comes out the companies come for placements.last week bank of baroda & dainik bhaskar came...DNA gave 6l..and BOB being a PSU bank gave a quite a hefty package of 4.5....so dnt u think its an achievement?and if u r good..why r u concerned about 1k ppl...go get it @ very first chance...yes though we r again in growth path..but to some extent still its a jobless recovery...IT companies are still recruiting very few management trainees...so its still a testing time for all of us...we have no dearth of good companies...we will surely give u chances..enough chances..but its u who hav to convert it by your own capabilities...which the clg cant control....u will get the best grooming,best faculties of pune here..its nt bluff..me too frm yr place..travelled 1900 km to join da place..and wholly satisfied...a grandfatherly figure like col bala who will take care of every small nuances of students.............
so this is balaji.....now take it or leave it its yr decision..but we dnt bluff..if the guarantee is given the clg keeps the guarantee....

I doubt if anybody has posted that our avg package is 5lpa.If anyone has then I beg your apologies. Since begining I have been mentioning that the avg package is around 4.25 lpa.
Till feb the highest package was not 5.5 , the highest package this time is 15 lpa(if you have gone through the previous posts you would know) , though that placement is only for one student from executive batch ,highest would remain highest even if its rare.
After that we have packages going around 6 , 7.4 lpa etc I dont remember many other figures and cant mention the name of the companies as well(not authorised!). LG came long back and that was the month of October and was the first company to visit.
I am really surprise because of the way you people make your decisions just by listening to a few people only once or twice.
Yes, there are around 1000 students in the whole society but then we cant get a placement of Rs.15 lpa for each and everyone.If you are capable enough you will surely get it and if not come what may you can not get it.Most of the people have got packages of more than 4 lpa.
So, before thinking about what the college can give you , seek yourself and ask if you deserve what you ask for.All the doubts will be cleared...!!

but now a dayz engg colleges r providing avg pckg of 3.5L & mor .... so y wud ppl waste 2 yrs of lyf & that too 4 avg pckg of 4.25 L:nono: .... so i request ppl who hv been selected in good companies.. dont go 4 mgmt in mediocre colleges coz after 2 yrs of work u will be getting handsm sallaries(definitely mor than 4.25L)...& after that if u feel lyk doing mba go 4 it.... but 4m a good college..

None of us is assigned this duty by the college!! we are here answering to your queries because we want to help the aspirants.
The placements are still going on and there is no point of mentioning the exact figure because I might mention it but by the time you read it ,it might change !! Gopinathan is right , the placements are around 400.
The placement season has not ended yet , so why are you getting so much tensed?? We at the placement cell wont stop and wouldnt even party unless we place every senior !!:p
To know the placement scenario about the other colleges please address to their respective threads , we may not give you the EXACT FIGURES again !!

I have 53%tile in cat ( knew long tym bak that exam dint go well)
dint gave mat. Gave xat and hv 85%tile there.
As i knw that cat scores r given 30% weightage ,but is it worth trying with a 50%tile????
is there anyway to use xat score for the process?

Thanks for your valuable post , I do agree that engineering colleges do provide an avg package of more than 3.5 lpa now days, but tell me one thing is MBA only meant for engineers or to put it right , Do only engineers take admission in MBA ?? There are students from BA, BSc , Bcom etc who join MBA , and dont get a package of 3.5 like engineers in undergraduation , infact they hardly get any placement:nono:
Even I suggest people who have a job in their hand and have not worked, should first work and then only analyse if MBA is their call or not ? people who have experienced would know it better what they are exactly doing by applying for a college...!! MBA is done not only for a better package , some people seek a change in the job profile which makes them switch from job to MBA and then a changed profile job !!
Every body who dreams to do MBA doesnt get IIMs or some other top notch college...!! Some may not invest another year to get through IIMs.
No body dreams to do MBA from any other mediocre college , everybody dreams of IIMs and thats a fact !! but then not every body gets it. I hope am conveying it right.:p
As you mentioned "but 4m a good college " , I would like to comment that even our college is in the league of good colleges in India ! Our alumni our at very good positions in the corporate, so we dont want anybody to confirm that the college is good , we are here and we know what the truth is !!

luk if u hav 60% thruout u gonna get a chance...atleast for GDPI...do well dere..may be in dat 20-30% portion region where cat score is counted u will score less dan others but if u do well in GDPI...den u can overcome dat....we consider the guy or gal more dan his score..if we found u r eligible enough to take the course u will get on it..whatever score u hav...becoz industry doesnt need gud CAT scores...it need hrdwrkin ppl....

boss...u r very short sighted....think long term man...think abt how many opportunities opening for u..how many sectors??m too got 2 jobs frm yr own city..i kno those 3.5 l jobs...electrical engg wrkin for TCS as coders...there should be something called job satisfaction isnt it?or money is everything for u.....u should exploit yr horizon....and think without doing MBA yr paths are blocked totally..u cant go beyond a team lead...whereas fresh MBAs will even join as a boss of yrs...so the truth is..within few yrs simple engg wont fetch anything for u...so sit on the bandwagon as quick as possible....and plzz dnt put Sri balaji society among the mediocre bracket..come to western india..u will certainly come to know who we are.....

guys tell me...frankly I have a marketing and sales jobi am the area manageri hav completed my engineer and m getting 2.7L package(i hav 60 thruout and meet all requirements)1.will it be advisable for me to quit my job and join SBS(if at all i get selected)2.Among the 4 colleges which is the best??3.which course shud i opt for?(i quite like telecom and marketing @ BITM)4.Is the college so gud? (some1 said come to western parts, i stay in mumbai but still hav hardly heard abt the college.)dont get me wrong but investing abt 5-6 lakhs is huge yaar and there shud be some value addition ...m sorry if i hurt some1...but i wanna be sure before doin this?thanks and regards,Sagar
