TO SKD7 dear friend let me tell you...placements are bad...2 yrs from now...who knows...but as per my information many colleges in pune including the SBS PACKAGES AS LOW AS 1.8L TO 3L ARE BEING OFFERED!!!

one more thing...last year as have come to know yesterday only a company named 3M(birla realted company)....OFFERED 10K/MONTH IN SBS AS WELL...

I am in the placement cell and know the truth better than you !
I am in BIMM and out director has not signed for any company which is paying less than 3 or so..... ! There are four colleges in SBS among which BIMM is the flagship college, other collegs may allow company with such a low package but our students dont sit for their companies then.
Even if somebody gets selected ,he/she has the choice of appearing for other companies which offer higher package(above 3lpa).
If you say that 3M has come and gave such a low package then let me tell you we had comapnies which offered 5/6/7lpa also..and for some of them we had people from symbiosis appearing off campus in our campus !!

I have a work-ex of 2+ yrs in an IT MNC, is it worth leaving a Job of 3+ lpa and joining MBA course at SBS?Job profile is important but what matter to me is money.I am even satisfied with my current job profile.Say after 2 yrs of this course still I am in a job of below 5 lpa it will not satisfy me.
Also I have chances of getting selected in IBS Hyd, no comparision but still can you please tell me what advantages you feel we have in SBS over IBS ( other than fees )?

It will be a very personal decision. Whenever a person leave a job of 3 lakhs and planning to do MBA the net expenditure would be almost 7 lakh rupees towards the cost of education and another loss of 6 lakh rupees by loosing your current job salary. So the total expenditure will be almost 13 lakhs rupees. This is not an expenditure but an investment. With 2 yrs of work experience if you do an MBA from a reputed institute you may get a minimum salary of 5lakh, needless to say you should work hard too. But from there your career growth would be totally different. I can assure within another 2 years you can triple your salary. That is the advantage of MBA. However this is my personal view final call is yours.

but now a dayz engg colleges r providing avg pckg of 3.5L & mor .... so y wud ppl waste 2 yrs of lyf & that too 4 avg pckg of 4.25 L:nono: .... so i request ppl who hv been selected in good companies.. dont go 4 mgmt in mediocre colleges coz after 2 yrs of work u will be getting handsm sallaries(definitely mor than 4.25L)...& after that if u feel lyk doing mba go 4 it.... but 4m a good college..
wow!!! thts d point dude i m talking about.....exactly even engg colleges giving avg of 3.5 ,,,and if i work in any company n then after 2 years i would b getting more than 4.5,,,,,so why i would go fr MBA after engg...to get only d same package wht i can fetch by doing job 2 years n gaining work ex and widout wasting 5 lavs...........n totally hype miss RICHA s creating hahah

I am indeed a student and I don't think I have said anything which can be called as "hype"!! I have always put the facts down here ... I did not force anyone to join and already told that there are no laterals for experienced people !! So there is no relevance of your post !!

fees for any college in sbs is 5 lakh. excluding hostel, laptop, and mess fees.

You can anytime come down to campus and have a look at it and ofcourse can meet the faculties and the students as well :p
College life is a blend of fun,lot of fun , interesting lectures , boring lectures and very boring lectures(depends upon your choice).
The college is strict but not very strict. If you are disciplined you won't find any problem in following these simple rules.
