Sri Balaji Society (BIMM, BIIB, BITM & BIMHRD) Admission Queries

I have always stated whatever I felt was true to the best of my knowledge !!
I am from a middle class family and know the worth of spending 7-8 lakhs from parents' pocket. I would never mislead anyone just to promote my college or advertise for it !!
I presented the college because I love my college and I don't regret joining it, there are lot of things that I have learnt here because placement is not the only reason I joined this course.
If you people don't find the college worth joining then don't do, it in any way wouldn't affect me,my pgdm and my placement.
Come down to campus if you can ,have a look by yourself and do whatever you all want.
Thats all from my side !!

Hi kritzzy !!
I can not guarantee about the final call as it would depend on your performance !! if you are good then your MAT score wouldnt hamper your admission.
Your extracuriculars may help you !!
All the best !!

Every body who applies gets a GD/PI call because there is no shortlisting on the basis of written exam score !

i have applied to SBS.. still have few queries..
am totally confused about the seat break ups.. 360 total in bimm? and same in BIIB, BIMHRD, BITM? this makes 360 x 4 = 1440.. please correct me if am wrong...

my second query is that, i have heard from a current student in BIMM whom i met in TIME B-SCHOOL fair last week.. he said.. 95% of students are engineers in SBS..(i could agree with this figure if he was talking about BITM, but he said this for all the 4 colleges.) so please some tell me..is this true? engineers are given preference..(am a B.COM graduate in final year)

Hi farcry !!
BIMM has 360 no. of seats , but it is not same for other colleges.
I cant give you the exact figure but yes BIMHRD has around 250 seats, BIIB has around 180 seats and BITM around 200 .

It is totally untrue that there are 95% engineers !! the no. could be around 40-50 % and that too because last year many engineers didnt not get their call letters so they had to opt for MBA , this definitely increased the no. of applications from engineers. Don't worry about getting in , if you are deserving enough you would get the final call...your degree wouldnt matter !:p

thank you for your prompt and satisfying response.
i have also heard that most PI are taken by bala sir.. if it is true... can you tell something about him..because am a bit scared by his persona so far..as military guys have that perception.. (no offense)

Hi !!
Bala Sir may take your interview , but he is super cool !! just get your knowlegde for politics right !!
If the interview would be taken by BAM Sir ,who is another great figure in SBS , then he can screw you in any topic under the sun !! as he himself is an encyclopedia !!
You can face any interviewer ,so its better you start preparing by having the worst case scenario in mind !!
All the best !!:cheerio:

hi all,
everyone is discussing placements no one is least concerned about education imparted.:nono::nono::nono:
BIMM has a good faculty base with some of best visiting faculty(some of symbiosis).
But there is one dark area which I found out after talking to one of my friends studying there and it really annoyed since I was seriously considering BIMM as an option(can't drop for 1 more year)
--it is way the exams are conducted in SBS colleges.:nono::nono:

Some Important Points
my friend gave his 1st semester exams in December. Still results are not out.Whats worse, he says in senior batch results of first semester were given after an year.
paper are added and subtracted on will of the director.
Seniors if I'm right it happened with u all in last semester and also u all had to give some paper of last semesters in this semester.
you will never get a full schedule of exams .Semester exams are conducted here as surprise tests.hardly u will get 3-4 days to prepare
and exams here are not of open book nature(like the IIM's)
and all this after that when u have attended class for 7 days of week.

maybe its another case of b-school not being able to manage their exams(after the IIM's off-course)

Whatever you said is true but its not about being not able to manage it.
Those who study can pass the exam even if it is being declared one day prior to it, and those who don't would find even a month a very short time to prepare.
They generally inform 4-5 days prior to the exam date, and yes generally there are no holidays for preparation but we got leave for almost all the exams in first sem. It was not very difficult to prepare. If you are regular in studies then its not a prob !!

One subject which is considered to be very tough was taken in this semester because our director didnt want people to flunk.

Another one was taken again because lot of people had flunked in that subject and it was just to save people from holding backlogs. i don't thing there is something wrong about it !!

Giving the results sooner or later doesnt affect !! result should be out before placements that is important and that we get :)

But yeah students always oppose this system and even I do because exam time is the worst time here..!!
what is the range of percentiles of cat and mat of the students got admission in bimm last year... ???

@richa dont be so honest.....management wud kil you ....

hi everyone... i noted in the prospectus tht v ll be having very very less number of holidays, as they r grooming their managers 365 days in an year... pls say me about the holidays over thr... bcos basically i need some holidays to refresh me... 😁

hi seniors, please help me clear my doubt about specialization :

i have gone through syllabus of various courses at BIMM website but nothing is mentioned about common subjects except some computer subjects..no detail of general management subjects in first year..

Do we have to select specialization at the time of admission???
