thanks once again for such valuable information madhusudan sir and reddy sir..
and regarding my name..i can understand the confusion..no problems!!

the date/schedule of GD/PI has not been displayed as yet..when will it be?
and also what is the diffrence between the 2 PIs(Faculty's and Director's)..?
will these PIs be on the same day or is the 2nd one to be given at Nashik campus..?(my center is Delhi)

please let us know...

I havent received any mail till now and neither its displayed on website.

My score is comparitively lower then all others in PG.

How much weightage would they give to the snap score in final selection???

hello everyone.
sorry if the mails werent sent to u. they might reach u on monday. be patient as ur already selected. we are having an event for 4 days starting today and this might be the reason the mails were not sent. anyways the snap scores and others are just for the shortlisting process. if they still consider then there is no meaning in shortlisting. but iam sure that there will be some predetermined percentage for workex and non workex like 60-40. so be sure that u do better than ur group members in the gd.
well got lots of assignments and an exam tomorrow with the event lying next to us now. catch u later.

Some stats regarding admission shortlist,

Total application sold : 1487
Filled Applications received : 1235
No. of shortlisted candidates : 658

No particular cutoff has been selected.

Shortlistment has been given by the following weightage
1. Work Ex- Fresher , 1 year , 2 year, 3 year & above.
2. Academic performance
3. SNAP score.
Equal oppurtunity has been given to freshers as well as work ex candidates.

GD/PI will take place in 4 places viz., Delhi, Chennai , Kolkatta & Nasik

658 calls for 60 seats, it wud be very tough.

Wat abt ur time, i mean how many calls were given out for PI last time and wat was the size of first merit list. Then how long was the waiting list announced after that and where did it end.

If you have idea abt this please share it.

When will SIOM come up with the GDPI time and date.Gotta plan for it and also hoping it doesnt clashes with MICA !!
Guys , and is it true that at SIOM we r not allowed to keep "automated" vehicles ??

Merit list was announced within a day of complete interview process and waiting list a week later. Note that interview last time held only at Pune.

I just saw that the dates at chennai r 11 & 12 th will the process be for 2 days or one day.Bcos I have gd/pi call for KJ Somaiya on 11th at banglore.

Is there there any way out if the process is for 2 days.

10 people only in waiting list,so all most all people who were given admission took the admission and less than 10 people refused it as no second waiting list was announced.

in ur case u can contact director, SIOM and then change the center to nashik for the dates specified.

good news for those who are having gd/ pi center at nashik. if u need accomodation u can stay in the campus itself. accomodation will be provided in the hostels we have. but u will have to pay for that. i think it will be at a price of 300 inculding the food. iam still not sure about this but accomodation is for sure subject to availability.

how is the gd/pi process..
what all are the kind of topics generally asked..
and also m an ele engg..
so how much of technical portion is there in the inteview..
can a general knowledge about ur subject do??
also throw some light as to what kind of technical questions were asked to u..

things are getting heated up here phewwwwww. with hardly 20 days to go for interview it seems aspirants like me have started loosing their nerves. anyways bestof luck to all and may those who deserve it get through including me(just kiding). seniors could u plz guide me regarding technical questions because i have workex too i think i should concentrate more on my work ex than revising my textbooks .....plz do advise i really need it. yes one more thing someone was telling that at times in symbi interviews even seniors are their in the panel is that true?????? if yesssssss then plz do some partiality with pgites u got to say yes.
