There was a lot of confusion prior to ur answers. Now, with the help of ur posts, i can work on.
I will put my every ounce of energy to do well at SIOM. The result, leave it to GOD. I am hopeful that my efforts don't go waste.
I observe that SIOM is working very hard to establish itself in OM in comparision with that of NITIE, SPJAIN, IITs, to name a few.
Do you have any idea about the placements for OM students when it was SCMHRD, Nashik. Some people say that SCMHRD, Nashik was a huge flop n it is for this reason, they have withdrawn n SIOM is born thereafter, with fresh infrastructure, faculty and Director.
I may or may not be true in some of the words typed above.. other enthusiasts, pls wait for the posts from Seniors.

The placements for SCMHRD Nasik was as good as it was in Pune. Infact SCMHRD still have the same course and their placments are extermely well this year.
scmhrd nashik was famous for operations management only. and OM people here were as good as OM students in pune. the infrastructure we are enjoying was completely used by scmhrd and not constructed for us. last year at this time scmhrd students were here in this place and it was just in march 2005 they left to pune. the actual month may be wrong but last year they were here. only the director and one faculty from jamnalal bajaj are new and everyone were with scmhrd.

ur id tells tat ur very much commited to MBA. if im right, it is good, continue the same. and also i guess ur a fresh graduate, if so plzzz refresh ur basics in ur field, im repeting it agine and agine in this tread, need not go tro' ur technical stufs in detaile. well to answer u more Precisely on ETC im not the right person as im mech. engg. but im responding to ur second query. to know abut our director in respect to ur PI plzz reffer my last post in this thread. even then if u need more clarification feel free to wright.

after that joined mahindra british telecom(now tech mahindra)
left it after 2 months for preparing cat..
now from jan again joined a company as a software professional in testing!!!
but as u c another reason for my leaving the mbt was that i dont like it.. and m doing this job now in abad only for temp basis..
so please what has a person like me to do..
do i prepare the technical stuff about my final year project and my trainings...
or the first job or the job doing now..
and all my trainings and project were in embedded systems..
the placement was in an it company which taught me just 3 modules after which i left that..
now testing is in e-comm services...

our director is soo cooooool. he never gets angry. imagine he was a consultant not only in india but also abroad. u have to be extremely careful with him.
u should feel that u are a lucky person as u will be tested in all the areas of work and the stream of engg. be confident. i think ur qs will be mainly from the work. but never tell them that u didnt like the job or the company u worked wiht. alwasys tell the positive part of ur leaving the company. anyways, i think u are the better judge for the case wiht u. just imagine that u are the director and then analyse the response that u will be giving, so that u will be able to know which answers to give.

Abt preparation i m a bit nervous, havent touched my engg. books for 2 years now so have to brush up the basic fundas. What i would like to know is i left my job in oct-2005 before cat for preparation, would it create negative impression on the interviewer?

as rani said it would be better option to prepare for GD tro' chat, among those people with whome ur going to face it. and also the topic for GD tat she has proposed are appropriate, i guess topic number 1,2 & 4 are more relevant ones.
regading GD tro' chat, from this u can only get the concepts/points for discussion. apart from this there is more to be looked in to for GD, wat we call it as body language. i mean to say here is plzzz take care of ur body xpressions.
to answer rani, for any decision there will be both +ve and -ve sides, in ur case also u have it. all u need to do is xpress ur view in PI such tat wat ever decision u had taken was right at tat time. i mean to say make this opportunity to show ur commitment in MBA. it is not like, this creates -ve immpression or not, insted it is wat u create.
as u have work ex. u may be xposed more to questions relater to ur earlier job so nothing to worry more for not reffering to ur engg. books.

Seniors, can you guide us, what has planned? How they will divide us for GDs? What percentage of elimination took place at every stage?
If they will eliminate in first round only based on ones GD performance then it would be injustice to him/her as the entire profile is ignored, I feel PI will give you opportunity to present yourself properly, so its much better then a fish market GD!

Majority people on pg i guess have delhi as centre.
Everyone pls. post ur experience as soon as you can.
Please also mention the general procedure i.e how many r they selecting for pi from a group of gd and how big is the group for gd and all stuff.
