skylorkji is saying rock da panel. now how do i explain yahan pe hawa gul hui padi hai. first of all delhi centre valon batao our venue lies between pitampura and rohini east metro station right. and plz yeh batao 16 ki subah kaisi hogi del main i hope main centre apne original kapdon main pahunchunga instead ki coloured. seriously this holi is troubling a lot now i will be coming to del on 14th itself instead of 15th just because of holi. pg junta jo 16th ko around 0745 hrs ko report karegi plz lets get aquainted if its ok with u.so guys how was ur gd i really wanted to join but some how couldnt. if u have similar plans for future plz do inform.

we are not expecting case as of now. but cant comment on it as it can also be an option. so just know how a case is solved. no essays please. 600 odd essays to read itself takes atleast 4 days. u can expect 2 gds for shortlisting. gd at chennai would be a tough one bcos of the climate maily. hope it will be better.
good news for chennai centre ones. the panel will defnitely consist of an HR person from sundaram group.

pgites for delhi centre plz come forward. I cant beleive delhi has max number of candidates and no one wants to say or share anything. and here's a personal request for all plz plz for God's sake dont get carried away in gds plz we dont want whole of the group to get disqualified especially a place like del where already there are 250+ candidates so panel would waste no time in chucking us out:wow: . rest all is on destiny. I beleive best prep for gd is go through newspapers and news channels. Suddenly this Arcelor bid has become silent no idea whats cookin out there. Best of luck for chennai and kolkatta guys let the deserving candidates win thats all i can say and am sure u will all agree with me. Leaving for del on 14th from dehradun if possible plz do guide me any good hotel or guest house near the venue. thanks a lot in advance.

Hope we have already given lots of insight on the need for Operations Management in various sector. Anyways, OM is necessary for all the field. Companies from different sectors like IT ,ITES , CAPITAL GOODS , BANKING & FINANCE , RETAIL etc., are the place where Operations Managers widely employed. No doubt that manufacuring is a huge sector where the Operations Managers play a vital role. Still as I said above the other sectors are also looking out for candidates from OM. The above said info is not just for the sake to answer your question , but what happened during the summers here.

chennai panel-P N Parameshwaran (head operations management, placement incharge) and Manoj (faculty-IT). there will be 2 panels headed by these 2 persons. each panel will have an industry person. be careful with PNP he has wide ex.
kolkata panel- Shilpa pharke (faculty-finance) and Abhay lidbe(faculty OM and alumini JBIMS). only 1 panel.
delhi panel- includes panel from chennai and kolkata. 3 panels.
nashik- all the faculty and panel specifically not decided.
there will be 1 gd which will be completely elimination. then the interview by the panel which will be a combination of elimination and selection. finally interview with the director.
11th is a big day for all of us as its the first SIOM selection procedure and our APICS exam date.

To add to skylork, there was a case study for duration of 15 min and shortlisted candidates were allowed to take GD and agine shortlisting. ultimately 32 candidates took PI out of which 17 are selected for Dir. interview.
dire.interview is sechduled for 2pm (date 12/3/06)
