hello Mr vinay. as far as what i feel is that u will be welcomed. iam not giving a wild guess but upon the following facts. even though its symbi , an institute needs placement track record, location, history for a couple of years, specialization in all the fields apart from operations. so considering all these some students who are intelligent enough and people having work ex would opt SIOM out. i have already posted that all the students in waitlist will be in and iam sure about it.

yes my friend ur joing a school popularly known as B-school. i think now u came to know way they are called B-school not as B-college.
well, u will learn about SQL in foundation, so nothing to worry about tat.
SAP will be thought from 1st sem before tat u will be introduced to finacial accounting in foundation and cost management in 1st sem. i guess it will not create much problem. on SAP as well as on comp skills it will be better if skylork comment for this. THROUGH SOME LIGHT skylork... (switch on ur mobile torch)...

We have Iron box on every floor provided. Apart from this Laundry is providing Iron facility. So I don't thing you carry an xtra weight with your luagge

There is a monthly or bi-monthly party in the name of Bash. As the strength is only of 60, Not much . Join here, in June we will have a big BASH.

5. Something that we dont know :wow: ??????

A lot are there, but it won't be surprises if we say everything now. So come and see to yourself. :grab:

B:G ratio --iam unable to find it out and a bit confused as to which name is f's and which one is m's. welll one more we cant assume all those selected will join or not. so u will have to wait for the ratio.
Mr frnd why dont u reveal urself bcos iam finding frnd difficult. ok ur wish. but do u know why mechanical engineers in all the colleges will enjoy more than any other stream. its just bcos they dont have good so called ratio with them. i wish i could have been in mech in engg unfortunately ECE.
the enjoyment with out liabilities is too good which we are enjoying. ofcourse sometimes u have to take it positively.
to reply to all the previous threads regarding army school and blabla....here in SIOM u are required to have attendance of 90% and be in campus by 22 hrs. except this everything is normal and u will find out after coming here.
regarding our diro, he is the coolest person and he deals every issues very professionally and so u will not find any problem wiht him as what u are thinking now. after all in SIOM we are not students and management, its just that everyone is a member of SIOM.
its known that 2 million suggestions given by employees are implemented in TOYOTA per year. but i dont know the number as to how many are given. here the ratio might be even more.
rules, ratios, main gate closing, ............nothing to worry..

Thanks a lot for this info, i checked, mine 3rd in the waiting list, so should have a very good chance , isnt it? i am asking similar question again and again , because these exams have driven me to desperation , getting to my nerves, anyways it has become common now after 15 entrance tests in 2 years,

Thanks to skylork for his prompt and sweet reply. And about my identity I had already disclosed it few posts earlier. Well I will introduce myself again on popular demand my name is Tejinder Singh Bajaj and I am a marine engineer. The B:G ratio in my college was 115:05:wow: so no problem for me, I am used to it. The prob is in merchant navy too u have very few girls so is the case with SIOM my luck:( . All I can say is mera saath hi kyuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun:( .

for those who r intretsted in B:G ration here i gues counting the list vl give a fair idea . sorry seniors but i guess v might b luckier than u guys coz its nearly 48:12 or 4:1

any ways wht i reqally wanted to know was taht is there a dress code in siom like formals need to b absolutely white or tie should be of a particular shade or something coz in a pic in the prospectus all yu guys r wearing whilte shirts??: ??? and the guy inprospectus doing the medical check up was the same guy who actually lookedinto the allotemnt of hostel rooms while our stay in nasik !!! is a real doc or ???????

and whats with the bike thing not allowed in the campus ??? shehar ghumenge kaise???
is there some jugaad associated that v keep the bike someplace else outside the campus ???

anyways whatswith the wifi thing . i heard that a test was conducted !!! was it just a pilot test or is wifi already enabled coz i m not clear with the idea. anyways the expenses thing worked out gr8 for me and thanx a lot seniors for the info .by the way i vl try to keep the expenses on min side and have no desire of shelling out 30*300 bucks more !!!

yes buddy ur little luckier, u ppl have at least 4:1 ratio. but make sure tat, B4 we come back from our summers u will make ur choice. after tat v may have to compete with u... im just joking.
formal dress code reffers to any type of formal dress, no specific colour, shade, or style. but u have to be in formals in acadamic building at least during working hours. during night time ur allowed to use siom T-shirt. the dress code u can see in pic on prospectous is our uniform(blazer with tie and white shirt is for boys and saree for gals). this uniform is asked to wear on occations like CEO meet or any functions not for every day use. this uniform, siom T-shirts and track suites are provided by the institute itself.
yes ur xactly right the person who took care of allocating rooms during selection process in nasik is our hostel Custodian and also our campus dactor

bikes or not allowed just not to make the system complicated. u know if some thing goes wrong outside the campus, institute has to answer for tat. we can't comment on jugaad as no one in our batch is doing like tat. to roam the city we have other alternatives. nothing to worry for tat.

WiFi pilot test had been conducted. we have to wait and watch for fullfleged service.

Hi Freinds,

I have confirmed my place at SIOM. I was the first person to confirm my seat.

On Monday i would be submitting my first resignation in life , at Infosys Technologies Pune.

Eager to start off with my B-School Life and gearup for the same.

I would like to Thank all the senior folks at SIOM who have been constantly guiding and inspiring us. I am highly obliged and appreciate your gr8 efforts.

All that i can say .......freinds i am waiting to meet 2K6-2K8 batch.......at Nasik

Lets strive with excellence to make SIOM a big BRAND B-School and create successful recognition for ourselves !

Our seniors contribution to this thread is really appreciatable...... I would not have chosen SIOM if you all were not there...

I'm not in. found it difficult to believe. Thought I had done well but something went wrong. Mayb my expierience (teaching).

usualy on week ends, tats on st'rday ppl here go out for dinner or movie or shopping (gate closing time is xtended to 11pm only on st'rdays). on sundays we woke up at 9 or 9:30am, after break fast we play cricket or basket ball or caroom. some ppl go out for shrdi, traimbak. the only hang-out place in nasik is college road. it will realy colour full. we will njoy all these places if and only if there is no FCQ on monday, or no special classes or guest lectutres or no assignments. u can't njoy too much as u did in ur engg. college days.
even though life@siom will be intresting one.
