TAPMI

but may be one or two might be included for IB ..the course content in not out yet..
but looking at similar courses in SIIB and other colleges may be there is a case for it..

Good Question, But I think most of the international accreditation will be via that country's embassy and/or related agency like alliance france for french.

In case you don't want to be trained personally or if you don't have the choice for the same then you can learn the languages on your own and appear just for the exams.

(Cursory student of french here :D)

Don't know if TAPMI has any foreign language courses in their programme. But I know for sur Manipal University has French and German language programmes. So if you get time from your schedule you can attend those courses. They have some semi-advanced level ones as well. Or at least they used till last year.

how good is TAPMI for freshers...given that only 24% of the 2008-10 batch was fresher....and what sort of job profiles were offered to the freshers for 2008-10 batch...and pay packages....were they below the median package?

Is this programme AICTE And AIU approved?
YES
Is this equivalent to MBA degree ?

How many electives are one allowed to take from various fileds?
We allowed to take 35 credits in second year, a subject can be of 2/3 credits
Do we have dance competitions in TAPMI ?
YES
Are the calls given for 120 seats only ?
Not sure
In case if my draft somehow reach after 10 th may ,will my admission subjected to cancel? (Dont trust indian speed post services)
Please inform Admission office, send them scanned copy

If you have applied for PGDM but couldn't clear it and now plan to join PGDM-IB/PGDM-BFS/PGDM-HCM. If someone drops out from PGDM course later, next person in merit list be offered PGDM seat. Even if that candidate has taken admission in any other course ( Given he has applied to PGDM).

Thank You for the update but unless people get to know course details (like in IB) how will people opt for the same or decide over it?

Please try and get info about the prospective companies that would want to hire students from IB. BFS, we probably know. same is true for hcm. but what about IB?

250 can easily clear this


THIS WAY I GUESS WAIT LIST AT MAXIMUM EVEN IF WE SAY 30 PERSONS WAITLISTED FOR EVERY 100 WHICH IS NOT THE CASE

WE HAVE AT MAX WAIT LIST OF 275{+/- 10} THERFORE WONDERFUL CHANCE OF CLEARING THE WAITLIST AND PERSONS WHO ARE NOT THERE IN THE WAITLIST OF PGDM ALSO

So we will listen to many cheering faces even if we wiat till may 15th {may 10th no way they need to accumalate data of all who dont want to join a prepare the list and uplaoad it so + 5 days} so even if you its worth many people here will suerly be selected cheer up

(how do you know that there are 120 confirmed seats? This is not certain.
Also I think you should consider atleast 15 out of 100 in the waitlist even if you are considering it. I think sets are more than 20 too)

But I don't see why waitlists numbers can't be given before 10th and this is why I think people who choose IB, BFSI as options will be given lower preference in PGDM.

TAPMI is as good a college as you can get for Fresher.. Pay packages and job profiles depends to an extent on students themselves. We had freshers this year(2008-10 batch) who got very good packages (more than the median package). it all depends on how you fare in the interview with respect to your fellow students

Please give us some time on queries regarding type of profiles which different companies had offered for different specialization. Regarding expected package, I would not comment as it depends heavily on the market situation at that time besides your own potential. Considering market is expected to improve in the coming years, your package could be higher than the median package which was offered this year.

If you are a fresher amongst many non-freshers, you might (technically) actually gain over them because of your difference in profile.

But here is the dilemma in the Indian Management Industry, Whom do you consider a "fresher"? Isn't a person who has 2 years of work-ex but is not trying to change direction into a completely different stream a fresher? :D
And this is why in India, If I go by my reasoning, A lot of the students in almost all mba colleges are "freshers" because they are not "laterals" like in other countries where work-ex is mandatory.

Very few in India have the luxury to choose their field in bachelors and work in the same after that and then continue in the same trajectory with a masters course ( Although I guess I am very lucky in that sense : ) )
So relevant work-ex guys should obviously get more than a fresher-don't you think thats democratic? 😁 - which is obvious and is true for any B-School in India and abroad but what percent of Indian populi who get into an MBA degree don't change their streams? Ideally it will be around 5-10% (10% is way too high if you ask me)

About being a complete fresher, Some companies insist on taking in freshers (unless you have really relevant experience) while others like laterals more. Depends on a lot of attributes. but being an island in an ocean isn't necessarily very bad if you can sell the island as a differentiator anyway.
In most cases Islands when marketed well will always be the outliers because of their difference and not in spite of it 😁

Lets make some things very clear -

1. Regarding AICTE approvals and other admission related details , we have little information, as you guys are stakeholders, so you will be first one to know about these from college not us.

2. Placement related information is always confidential and Placement Committee of college doesn't share any thing extra with students, other than what is available on TAPMI Website.

3. Regarding what will be placement scenario in Dec/Jan 2011, we frankly don't have clue about Dec/Jan 2010 (when our placements are scheduled), so .....

4. Regarding course structures/curriculum of BFS/IB/HCM, again we are not deciding authority and you are primary stakeholders,so you guys will be first to know about that.

Requesting all of you to ask question which a second year student can answer.

Please think before posting, whether this can be answered by second year student?

If u still feel u must ask this, plz PM us...

Please do not post each and everything which comes to your mind.
