Hey why you are so much concerned about the placements? Is this the sole purpose of doing your MBA? As in my blog also Prof.Chowdhari Prasad from TAPMI aptly said that first think about taking the degree, taking the experience and then think about the handsome jobs. Previously also I said while replying to one post that IT IS TOTALLY UPTO US that how we perform in those two years and on the basis of that we will get the job. You should have enough guts to crack the job with 7 or 8 or 10 lakhs package, and if you don't have that quality then study even in IIM you will be thrown out without a single job. So behind every job with the name of the institute there is a huge factor which contributes in giving you great job is YOURSELF. Believe in yourself, future is yours.
haha phoenix is back joke is wonderful peope here are breaking their heads for getting into tapmi i personally left many colleges for this phoenix bayya u have a gud chance of a writer just joking man 😁 and one more thing from a reliable source i had a message it says the wait list is upto 900 and 120 admissions given till date so therfore another 170 movment might come and rest 700 doomed disclaimer my personal opinion puerly which is not authentic views expressed are clearly of myself and not intended to influence any one so no groans plzz

Why concerned about placements!!! .well I think everybody is....tell me whos ready...to learn ..get experience...and not get a job....yes I agree that its our hard work and knowledge that ultimately gets good job..or a job that we want....but the college is also very important..a top performer from an IIM is different from a top performer from any other college..be it MDI , NITIE , TAPMI , SP JAIN etc etc...atleast the market thinks so..and offers better money to them...isnt it
Lets Forget TAPMI for a moment...lets consider a college X..thats much lower than TAPMI...would you still maintain the same opinion..get experience...and stuff when people dont get placed at all...
So yes knowledge is important...but ultimately you want an end product for that knowledge ..i.e a good job,...we are not here to do penance ....
I am sure about TAPMI's stats ..I believe its authentic..and there are people trying to taint the image of tapmi...
but my contention is placement is paramount....even in the interview ..they ask why mba???...and we provide a lot of gyaan...and we know the real answer isnt it...but cant say that openly to them..we need to dress it up and give an MBA flavour...
ULTIMATELY we gain knowledge ..get to know lots of things through interaction...from an MBA ..and it also opens up a lot of options before us..it makes us more versatile...a BE grad would not have some many options even if he does an mtech and a phd... I am just giving an example..it applies to all grads..
and in the end all this culminates in getting a job..dream job or not depends on US as well as the COLLEGE ..both are equally important friend..

Do not generalize please. there are people who go into sectors where the payment isnt the sole criteria and i'm sure you're aware of it. placements do matter to you and a lot many others but if the College is good and the students getting into the College are good.. the placements invariably takes care of itself, regardless of what others say. Do your own analysis of any college you want to get into rather than get fidgety about every negative/pessimistic view presented. If an institution is good.. have trust in it.

Can someone plz post the details of all that happened in the pre-admission talk??
Hi,
We discussed general stuff like campus life, the course structure, summer internships etc... abt the course structure, there is no strict rule that we have to stick to a particular specialization in second year. We can choose from a basket of electives, spanning across different specializations. Classes are held 6 days a week, from 9 to 4 or 5. The hostel is well-maintained, having twin-sharing facility for both the years. Our batch, apparently, has an option of choosing a/c rooms as well.
All students will be divided into groups of 5 (having ppl with work-ex, freshers, girls etc) and this group of 5 will have to do all the projects and case studies together. There are also many cultural committees which organize different events, fests etc..
Summer internships are held over a period of 8 weeks. There are not many FMCG companies that come for marketing profile for the summer interns/final placements. However, there are quite a few start-ups, investment banks, manufacturing and IT companies that offer profiles in marketing. (I'm more interested in marketing, hence wanted more details about that. Marketing with Systems/Operations is also a good choice)
About the waitlist movement last year, there was a list of around 400 ppl out of which 120 ppl were shortlisted and the rest were waitlisted. In our case, it might be around 600-700 because of the increase in the number of seats. Movement across specializations is also possible in case you have opted for those while filling the form.

I can remember only this much for now 😁 ...

Even the seniors would not know much as even the course content is not yet out...to get an idea I suggest you go through the curriculum of SIIB or IIFT..may be it will give you an idea...
Regarding placements go through SIIB threads ..you should get a fair picture about..the opportunities and sectors that one can get into..
