Hello Puys

As we see an increase in the number of applicants interested to apply for TAS 2010, it will be worthwhile to consolidate and maintain this information somewhere from this early stage. From Application profiles to the app procedure which will be useful for someone new to TAS ......

Request you all to add your information in the spreadsheet .....

Hi All

When I started this forum dint have confidence that any one would be interested. well thanks guys for keeping this ticking with interesting session

Well I got idea of TAS from my TL whose friend made to TAS last yr from tata motors. I jumped in this with dreams but i dont know how bummpy its going to be.

I got 2.1 rating for my first yr which landed me in D band. this yr I have done well with my H1 nd hope to get in close to 4 rating. now guys will this help or be a hindrance to my dream.

I was part of Pilot team of Nielsen team which started in may 2008 (Market research) technically my 2 yrs will be may 2010, if advt comes in the month of mar will be able to apply for the same? Will there be any consideration?

@Ajeet
I think you should be good to apply. I guess both the age and the experience criteria are w.r.t May 2010.

I've just made up my mind to apply this year. Have to take GMAT first. Do any of you guys know if the AWA score is considered as part of the TAS application process.

Also, how much of a part does the profile play. I've been working with TCS for about 3 years now and have been in a technical role throughout.. will the lack of management experience be a hindrance?

Hi All,

I am working in TCS for past 4 years. I am going to apply in TAS this year.
But the problem is now i am getting a long term onsite opportunity.

My question is : Can i apply in TAS from outside India ? if yes then how interviews and other rounds will be conducted?

Please suggest if any one of u have idea so that i can take a call urgently.

Thanks...

HI
I feel you should apply for this. I have heard that people from different country fly to mumbai to give their final rounds.. I m not sure wheter they have Video conferance for TAS.. but with last 2 years stay in group i have understood not to expect more......
so think before you u jump the line. if you feel you can stil comeback and give it a ry you should not wait for any one to say no... well good luck from my side

Hi gmat_finale

To answer your first question, Yes, you can apply to TAS from outside India as indicated by Ajeet. For more details on interview and other rounds, your best bet would be to go through the TAS process from previous year's threads.

Also, I will highly recommend you to call the following lady from TAS for correct details on your queries.

Jehangir : 022 - 66657996.
She will be your best bet along with the info on the previous year's thread.

Do let us all know if you get the answer!!!

Thanks a lot to both of u for ur replies...

Once i ll get details from TAS office i ll update every one.

I have one more question regarding H2 appraisals: Do they consider Band or rating of H2?

Because i have seen that most of the time ppl have higher rating but lower band.
So whats more important from TAS's perspective?

Thanks.

Beware Puys,

I called TAS office today to enquire about tentative dates for TAS in-house this year. According to lady on other side, registration will start sometime in Jan and will end in Feb. Actual form submission will have deadline till march 15 approx. Though she didn't disclosed exact dates, it seems, they are preponing overall schedule by more than a month.

I have just started preparation for GMAT and now on my toes to take it before feb first week :banghead:

Worried,
Shripad

Hi Guys,

I am planning to apply for TAS this year, have a small query.
Till what time can I give my GMAT...as per previous notifications, TAS notification generally come during 15 March - 15 April....
Can I give my GMAT in middle of March or is there any time limit before which I need to give it.

Regards

Hi Shripad

Thanks for the info .....
We will need to keep a tight follow up with the HR guys .....
Time to rub off the rust and wake up for the party

Hi Satyaravi

As indicated by Shripad,
TAS in house registration will start in Jan and End in Feb. Though the submission deadlines will be somtime in Mar.

So , in case you are planning to give it in March, it will be a touch and a go case if TAS changes its schedule this year .....
You will be safer to get over with ur GMAT by Feb end ..... This is my personal opinion ..... Things will be clearer once the dates are out ....
You may also want to call the TAS office and put foruward ur case to see if they give out some tentative date.

ATB with ur GMAT ...
