Tas 2010

What??? No onsite people :banghead:

There is no mention of that in the website, but i was wondering why there were no non-Indian cities in the dropdown. Ashu, can you please let us know when you get the reply from tas inhouse? This is so upsetting man!!

sure... even I am waiting for the reply...

@list of cities... there were many cities which were not listed in there... so this looks like a non issue....
moreover many guys from TCS companies abroad ( Corus, JLR etc ) would be applying for TAS... so this one doesnt seem to be an issue...

The TAS website doesnt speak about onsite at all... I guess this is a stand taken by the TCS HR...I just wanna ascertain whether this is/ just TCS Pune or all over...

Once we have a reply from TAS we should be in a position to take this to the competent authority... Also we could present the case jointly rather than individualy which should be helpful...

Perfect, That works!.. hopefully all this is sorted out quickly..

Hey Puys,

This is the reply i got from the TAS office.... :)

Dear Applicant,
All such candidates will be eligible. The selecton rounds will be considered at various locations depending upon the number of applications fro various geographies. The same will be put up on the website.

Regards,
TAS Inhouse

Hi puys,

I wanted to know tht, can a guy who has worked with tata comp for more than 2yrs in past but isnt with that ( or any tata comp) now, can apply for TAS? is he still eligible for TAS?

Cool 😃 Thanks man!

Hi Guys.
Thanks for such a wonderful converstaion in the forum,
just for your info if you have not noticed it,
the Age limit has been scrapped in the TAS, if you guys can see that in the TAS inhouse.

now it says 2-6 yrs exp by apr 2010,
so just keep the information flowing.

Hi Ajeet

Very true .....
They seem to capture a larger audience this tiem around ....
This policy seems to be consistent with declaring the GMAT Cut off after the registration .....

Cheers

Puys,

The forms would be available online on 20th of March and we need to submit it by 25th.
I was just going through the thread for last year and found that the form is around 10 pages long. Also we need to write essays with the application. :wow:
The dates mentioned on the TAS website seems to be implausible... at least for the guys overseas...
Can somebody call and check with the TAS office whether the dates mentioned are correct :banghead: ... coz last year the junta got about 20-25 days to submit their forms

Puys,

Could anyone clarify on my previous post...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Hi,

TAS application has changed this time around and so has their process.

Last time the form had around 10 pages, with 2 pages having 4 Qns needed to be filled. Rest of it had qns regarding Academic, Experience and Personal details.

People outside India will be given sufficient time to submit the application.
Please dont hesitate if you have any more questions.

Regards,
MR

Thanks MR

Could you please elaborate on the current process and application...

I hope this would be beneficial for everyone...

Ashu_tas, I am in Seattle, US. Where are you? I am planning to submit my app to regional HR here (assuming i clear the cutoff ;))

Hi,

Everyone at Onsite, Please check with ur Branch HR's.. or ISU HR's..
whether people at onsite can apply for TAS. Looks like some ISU's are restricting.

Ashu,
what did ur HR say.?

MR

I had received the same info from the ISU HR...
So I got in touch TAS office and they said anyone could apply... there is no restriction on onsite guys...
I also got in touch with HR SPOC for TCS and she confirmed that I could send in my application... and asked me to get in touch with the local HR here...
The local HR directed me to the HR SPOC in US for TAS and I am yet to get a reply from her...
lets apply and hope for the best ... I m keeping my fingers crossed though...

Hey MR...

I had requested you to elaborate on the the process and application... could you please let all the mortals here know this divine secret...

Hey Puys
