Pritesh,

Count me in too!. I m working for TCS - Bangalore from the past 3 years..

GMAT Score : 740.

Waiting for the shortlist to start perperations and I am not sure of what preps are needed too..

Skype reduces distances I believe

Hi Ajeet,

I would recommend that you apply.
One month will not make a difference, if you have two appraisals done.

After you apply, let the TAS office decide.

Regards.

Hey guys, also count me in.

Well, we seem to have a good start with 3 Puys ....

I had prepared a spreadsheet to track TAS aspirants. I will go ahead and add fields to that spreadsheet to indicate Puys interested in getting together and preparing for TAS.

Puys interested in joining us can go ahead and indicate a "Yes" or a "No" in that spreadsheet.

The link for the doc is provided below:

Hey Guys,

Can someone suggest....I will be completing 2 yrs on 31st March 2010. But the annual appraisal for this year will come only in May/June. I guess they will ask for ratings for two years in TAS form.

Plz suggest what to do?

Won't help.. One of my friend went through the same thing last year. Since he had not gotten his second appraisal he had to miss the TAS...

Hey Amit
I would recommend you to go ahead and apply. H-2 ratings are usually completed by Mar (internally) , thus the HR should be able to send your appraisal details to TAS by the required time.

You can contact someone at TAS office and get a confirmation .....

Hello Vaibhav,

Can you please tell us about the kind of roles that are offered post to TAS..

Also whats the duration of this TAS program and what kind of knowledge/training do you get in TAS..

Thanks

Vaibhav,

1.How does the form typically look like...I mean what are the things needed to be filled in eg. personal details, essays(nos., personal profile)
2.What kinds of topic, in general, can we expect for a case study
3.Does everyone get the same topic or is it different for every individual
4.What are the durations for presentation and GD
5.Only the guys who clear GD get the chance to present or everyone does

Hey Guys
This is jaya deora working with Tata Projects Hyderabad well i m also ken for applying TAS how are u guys proceeding towards the prep

Hi !

In the first year TAS wil rotate u across 3 companies for 12 weeks each, and a community stint 0f 4-5 weeks !

the roles and sectors are generally different across the stints....so u may work in Auto, Energy and Services.....in say Sales, Marketing and finance respectively.

That is a tremendous exposure. Its great fun.

On the training part, you begin with the induction training and Bharat darshan, which is awesome to witness !

Post that one gets to join 2 companies for 2 years each at the middle management level...

Hope that helps ! All the best !

Hi Ashu !

1) the form will capture all ur details like personal, academic, work experience , GMAT score and some essays which may vary across each year . YOu will get sufficient time to fill it , so chill !
2) The case study changes every year, so its better I do not paint you a picture. Be prepared for a problem and try and pose a rational solution, that shall help.
3) AFA i know, the case study is same for all, cant say if it changes per person from this year onwards.
4) It depends but as a guideline GD is 1 hour, Case study will be 30 mins
5) Ya GD till last year was an elimination round.

Hope that helps. !

All the best ! Enjoi the process ! Its amazing !

Not sure why the website and posters have different eligiblitty criteria.

The posters have the usual criteria of not > 27yrs and atleast 2 yrs of work ex in TATA.

But the website doesn't mention anything about 27 years but instead tries to acheive the same purpose with an experience ceiling of not > 6yrs. Seeing this one gets the impression that they've done away with the age factor.

When I checked with the my HR SpPoC i get a response that 'we have reasons for not posting age limit on the website'. I am yet to recover from this response.

I am a postgraduate hence I have less than 6yrs workex even though am older than 27. I qualify for TAS if I go by the criteria in tasinhouse.com but fail miserably as per criteria in the posters.

I've sent a mail to tasinhouse.com as well but yet to get a response.

Anyone has any idea???

Hi Vaibhav,

Thanks for providing some wonderful information.

I had a query about the pay scales.. What would be the starting pay offered for a TAS Candidate??

And will it be the same as the salaries they offer at B Schools like IIMs?

Hi Rajeev,

:)

How is it possible to have different pays for junta in the same batch, for the same designation and for the same work profiles πŸ˜ƒ

All the best!

Regards!
