Hi guys, I just completed my BTechand have been offered a job by both TCS and Infy on Jan this yr during Campus placement . Infy is offering the post of System Engg. while TCS is giving the post of Asst. System Engg.
Can anyone tell me if these are equivalent? and which should I go for ?
P.S.-both are offering approximately same salary.
In TCS, the next level is System Engineer after 1 year during which u will complete your trainings and probation period. From there on it's a 3 year (approx) wait for an ITA profile (the next level). Some one else can tell u about the Infy levels

Both are equivalent .... Its only the matter of naming conventions in the company
TCS has asst. System engineer whereas INFY has Systems engineer - Trainee which roughly means that u start one level below the systems engineer and then go to the next level ...
TCS has a more relaxed environment whereas INFY has a world class training which is hectic ...
Infy has got a better brand value whereas tcs will give u time to prepare for cat etc ...
i have been selected in TCS and my branch is IT.mt programming skills are not good...are rhere chances of getting sacked from tcs??i heard that they rarely sack anyone...plz clarify
i m 2002 X passout(87% west bengal board).And 2005 hs passout(73% west bengal board).due to medical condition i couldnt attend in 2004.So i was nervous thn.I give a exam conducted my ordnance factory board india.I succeded.then i got three years full time training from rifle factory ishapore.the course is NCVT.thn i took admission in BTECH in 2008.so my question is those three years that i hv spent in completing my training as fitter trade,is it be considered as break in study or not at the time of campussing as per the eligiblity criteria of software company..if yes thn hw much year will it be?1 yr or 4 yr?nd also my DOB is 1st jan 1987..i will passout in 2012.help needed..i m from a college which is TCS grade A college.So there will be a good oppertunity.So i have to decided eithr continue study or join the job in the factory...help me..thanx in advance
I cleared the technical and MR round. Now expecting a call from TCS HR shortly. What to expect (in terms of salary, designation and band) at 7.5 yrs of experience in Mainframes? Once you are selected, your college, the place you come from, doesn't matter. What matters most is Your performance in the company. Concentrate on your performance and appraisals will happen by itself.
