hi all...
i m placed in tcs(dec 2009)...
have received a mail from them to register at NSR(national skills registry)
should i register for NSR right away OR shall i wait until i get my passport(around sept 1st week)...as passport details have been asked in NSR registration(though not compulsory)...

Passport details are not compulsory...... u can fill the form right away....

ur blog is really nice dude...u can make a book of(seriously)-->it'll be nice...

and i know that passport details are optional..but i want to know if i could delay registering at NSR until i get my passport(i.e until mid september)
OR is it compulsory to register for it right away...

If you have received the mail for the NSR form, then it is written in there:
".....If, under certain circumstances you are not able to complete the registration, the same will be taken care of at the time of joining....."
So, it isn't compulsory to do so now....

And as for the blog, thanks. A book will be too much.... I don't think I am worth that still. Still, keep reading whenever I post.

I am planning to attend interview in TCS.

I am having 11 Yrs of experience in IT. For the past 7 years I am working in a Tier 1 company.

Let me know what will be the suitable designation I can go with?

Note that I am interested to go in the Project Management stream.

Anyone knows when TCS ILP is starting? I got my offer letter for Assistant Systems Engineer Trainee Grade Y in the beginning of may. But I havent heard anything from TCS till now and havent received any joining letter.
Have other people who got offer letter at similar time got joining info?

With 11 years of exp you should go for a Consultant (C4) level. At best, settle for ASOC designation (C3B).

Also, imp is the role that is being offered.

Hey guys I don't have my birth certificate with me(who the hell need it?) and I don't know if my birth was registered or not, I was born before 1989.

But TCS is now asking for it, I dunno what to do.This is ridiculous.:\

Hi Guys,

I m currently working as an analyst at AC Nielsen but soon will be moving to TCS as a part of some deal between Nielsen n TCS. My team will become a part of their KPO domain. I have not heard many favorable things abt the transition...all -ve. I wanted to know that if I move to TCS will it hamper my future prospects. I am with nielsen since last 1 year. Also want sort of designation they offer in KPO, i have heard my designation will change to some process associate or something. I am a graduate in Stats and plan to do an MBA in future?

Any help will be immensely appreciated.

i m 2002 X passout(87% west bengal board).And 2005 hs passout(73% west bengal board).due to medical condition i couldnt attend in 2004.So i was nervous thn.I give a exam conducted my ordnance factory board india.I succeded.then i got three years full time training from rifle factory ishapore.the course is NCVT.thn i took admission in BTECH in 2008.so my question is those three years that i hv spent in completing my training as fitter trade,is it be considered as break in study or not at the time of campussing as per the eligiblity criteria of software company..if yes thn hw much year will it be?1 yr or 4 yr?nd also my DOB is 1st jan 1987..i will passout in 2012.help needed..i m from a college which is TCS grade A college.So there will be a good oppertunity.So i have to decided eithr continue study or join the job in the factory...help me..thanx in advance




dont worry friend,it does nt matter who much brakes u had in your education before u enter into B.Tech,continue studies,all the best

So what is the worry?..getting a birth certificate is not a difficult task..yu can apply for it online also.. you can apply at near bey muncipality office and get it..anyways if u have a passport it can be used for proof of birth..

Man.. be cool..just know about yourself.. you should have answers for questions asked about you... then think about technicals.. the trend of these days.. they look for people who can communicate..and are stable minded.. no one cares how much you know in thermodynamics or data structures.. prepare a good cv.. have something to say about you.. that ensure you any job
