Can u tell me that what is the salary hike in TCS??
Is our package retained at 3.16 LPA for two years??
I heard that after 2.5 years, the package increses to 4.2 or 4.3 LPA, is it right???
Hi, Organized, can u tell how the things goes for two years in TCS??? I mean work environment and package increment and what salary we get??? does any one get variable component of CTC??
I don't have my joining date yet but they replied that batching is done and the only thing left is sending emails to us.
Aha....so you would then be a 2010 grad. OK..this is how things were for people who joined in 2008 (I joined in July,200. You join as a Assistant Systems Engineer- Trainee. After a year of working, you are Assistant Systems Engineer. This is called the confirmation process and happens in the first year. After which you get a hike which is independent of your first year performance rating. The amount has differed from batch to batch. Like people who joined in 2006 had their salary nearly double( from 2.2x lpa to 3.88 lpa). We, thanks to the recession did not get any hike after a year although our designation was now ASE( read above). But after March 2010, there was a hike which was dependent on rating and then another hike in July (cuz thats wen we completed 2 years of exp)which was also rating dependent. People who were top performers (A-band) had new sal. around 4.5 lpa, good performers(B-band) had around 4.1 lpa and hence forth for C (around 3.8 lpa)and D band(around 3.6 lpa). People in E band (the most hopelessly low performers get this.....or if you manage to put up a fight with your boss and his boss) get a deduction in salary as their variable pay component is removed .. Hope this gives you some idea.....

Not 1 year...2 years. atleast thats what it took for us ...should be more or less same for you guys. Y accenture is because TCS is a very lazy company. Its more like PSUs. Accenture is more professional . Ofcourse, these are general views and I am not comparing every project in TCS to every project Accenture. TCS is good in 2 cases. 1. Durig recession or such hard times. 2. At a certain senior level like with 5-6 years exp. not like freshers. I joined as fresher though !!!
FYI.....U can use the thank button rather than mentioning explicitly !!!
I have currently working with Reliance (since last 5 months) and got offer from TCS . My total exp is 3.83 . They have offered me 6.2. My current package is 5.5.
So just wanted to know is it good deal...? I wanted to go there for may b long term. Can i expect onsite opportunities after 2 yrs..
Hi, 3.83 ??? Are counting in days !!! Its a decent deal....you cannot expect more than this. I have worked in TCS for 2 years, hence an "ex-insider's" input .....feel free to ask anything else. Where are you located ?? TCS Mumbai ??
Hi, I actually have a friend in TCS who is earning 5.2 lpa with 3 years exp. Hope this gives you some idea. BTW, did you join as a ITA or ASE (hope you are aware of the designations !!!)
I have 4.5 yrs of experience. I got an offer from TCS of 7.27 lpa. I have been offered IT Analyst designation in C2 grade. My salary structure is as follows:
Is it a good offer? Is the designation ITA as per my experience? What is C2 grade? Are variable components normally so high(more than 40%) for ITA designation?
Hi Infyguy, As for your questions 1. This seems to be a decent deal for an IT analyst. 2. Yes. ITA is generally offered @ around 5 years experience. 3. Not very important. They have different grades like C1Y, C2 etc 4. Not very sure abt this
Could u pls help me out with following? currently i have an offer from Sungard technologies, Synechron and TCS. TCS has offered ITA designation with 9.2 lacs. I have 5.5 yrs of experience which also includes 2 yrs of UK experience. At these moment i have only these 3 offers in hand and planning to join TCS. Synechron's offered more than tcs with Sr. Associate role which is kind of Sr. software engineer i believe. Sungard i am expecting an offer soon and experted to be 10 or 10+.
Till date i have been into .Net development, and honestly i am bit fed up....so my plans are to get into more client facing, techno functional, team lead sort of role. When i think about TCS, i think even if not today, down the line there are fair chances that i will make it. At least i trust my self. However i am sure and can foresee that in other 2 companies iw on't be able to execute my wishes as those companies are purely into devlopment/maintenance. Also i am dont believe in running behind money, for me career and my aspirations are more important.
I am totally fed up of this .net, mvc 2 and bullshit (sorry programmers), i mean i believe coding has no end....!!!
I would be really grateful if ex-tcsITEs or current serving TCSistes could help me or can guide me whether the offer sounds good. Crrently i draw 7.5. They have mentioned that they are offering the TEAM LEAD role however it is IT Analyst so i have not much idea here.
Your help is much appreciated so please help me friends!!!
