Ya, I have answered almost 99% of the queries here.
My guess regarding the CTC would be around 7.5 lpa. The 21 months being relevant workex helps ....

And the designation??do u think it should be that of an ITA or a Consultant.Ideally IT Analyst designation shouldnot be the one...Any ideas on this...or anyone who has been recruited from a bschool may also help me in my query...

Consultant designation is generally attained a substantial workex. I do not think it would be consultant. My idea of an MBA grad's designation would be Assistant Consultant (the one just above ITA). This is the hierarchy of designations for the techies. I am not very sure if MBA's will have the same designation hierarchy.

One more question on the same lines.I knw in TCS the roles are different from the designations...but any idea as to whn can an mba grad look into a role such as account management or project management...I donot think account management or project management roles will be given to mba guys before they have spent substantial time with the account or project???i wish i am wrong...basically wat i wanted toknw that can sumone move into these project management or similar roles straightaway post mba???
Well, what you are asking is very vague and generic. It would help if you could give more specifics. Actually, a lot depends on the role you get.

TCS ILP is of 3 months duration .(July-sept)
post-ILP location would be known to you only towards the end of the ILP.

Hi . I got my joining letter for TCS yesterday stating that i ll have the ILP at Chennai . But it says they wont provide the accommodation. Can someone let me know how much will they pay during the ILP considering that they r not giving us a place to stay ?

If your package happens to be 3.15 lpa, then you will get around 20k in hand (Given the components are still along those lines !! )

Long Answer - Variable component can be ballmarked between 20 - 40% (out of which more than 80% will be monthly and rest paid out quarterly. You joining rating of 4 is tied to your Variable component , meaning u will get 100% assured variable in your first year. After first appraisal, if the rating goes down, then the Variable component paid to you will be 80-90% of your total eligibility)
An average performer should get a rating of 3 and 80-90% of Variable component, a good performer should be able to maintain the rating of 4 and get 100% and so on........ATB:cheerio:

I worked with TCS for 2.5 years, after that in 2009 I took Sabbatical leave for study. I have completed my mba from Catagory 2 college(In the list of TCS). My last band/rank in 2009 was 4.5.
I am joining TCS back, How much min. and max. package can I expect from TCS now?
