Thanks ..... The hike might not be freshers . But ll it be applicable for us when we move to the next designation ? Say a 1 year experienced guy is getting 27k in hand and after the hike it becomes 29k or 30k . So when we also reach the same position , will we get the old salary or the hiked one ? Sorry for asking dumb questions but m a bit confused !!!
And another query . I m joining TCS as a fresher in August . Can someone let me know if there r some awards for performing well in ILP ? Or other things like societies , clubs , etc . Just looking for stuff to improve my profile . Does something like this is possible during ILP

ILP is a well known paid holiday. Just relax and enjoy. U mite get a book for coming first. If that sounds good to u...then work hard oderwise chill.

There can be events and functions in ILP. If you wanna do something.... dance, sing, act - you can do pretty much anything. Much depends on your ILP center choice.... and... ahem ahem .... on HR.

AFA your query is concerned, ILP life is easy so live it like that. It gets tougher after that, so make sure you are prepared for that challenge.
Regarding clubs and all, once you are done with your training and start reporting to your project in your base branch, see if you can join ToastMasters club. Its for public speaking and its very nice
Now-a-days ILP is not Paid Holiday...I've started my ILP at trivandrum since 3 weeks..Every Friday there is evaluation..In every lab session u've run program within a time limit..30% of our batch already got remedial package..They've to put almost 11 hrs every working day..Even they're going to office on sat,sun..We got 3 weekends..But only in 1st weekend we went for outing.This thing is not happening only to me,for everyone..It's their new curriculum. I'm from CS background..It's really very hard for Non-CS people to cope-up with their speed..They already finished Core java,Web technology in 3 weeks!!!!!!

? Never heard of stuff like that before . Please enlighten me And as far as the question goes , i think discussing about the salary structure is just fine . Most of the ppl are here for MBA . And there is nothing wrong in knowing the post MBA salaries . Its actually very much related to MBA . And apart from this as well there are other threads which discuss about normal stuff and chit chat as well . But thats just fine . The website's main focus is still on MBA . So ur IE tab shows correct info

I am working for one of the big 4s in London and am in discussion with TCS London for a C3A or C3B role. Could someone please help me with the following questions:
1. What is C3A/C3B equivelent to in industry standard deignations (Assistant Manager / Manager / Senior Manager etc.)
2. What salary can I expect in GBP? What is their bonus policy?
3. I can see from the posts on this forum that India operations have a lot of politics. Anyone has a first hand experience of their UK operations?
4. How long does it normally take for promotions?
5. What salary would a C3A/C3B get in India?

@organisedchaos...sir m in a stste of confusion..i have offers 4m both tcs and ericsson..which is a better company 2 work 4 as a fresher..ppl have told me that in ericsson the growth is more than tcs but they dont work too much on the training part..in tcs i will be tought new technologies as well as there is growth opportunities..plz guide me..i am from electrical and electronics branch..!!

I am unable to decide wheather to leave the current organi**** and return back to IT sector or leave in govt sector only.
I have a almost 3.7 years of experience. 2.8 in IT sector and 10 months in govt sector.

What I actually want to ask is that growth in TCS is based on seniority or on performance.
And are there any chances of a quick growth in the organization if I have a good programming and problem solving ability?
And how much hike should a good performer should expect in 2 years or 3 years ..?
