These ppl are some smart asses working here... first of all ur pf is cut twice from ur account whereas the norm is half by u half by company.... but they say its the same though u get ur pf only after leaving ur company..
also they have by standards high va and low basic.... which means they u cant question even if they give u 10k rupeess..
then during ilp they take hra of 4k frm ur salary for the 1 bhk crap the provide with 4 ppl overloaded in it... rs 16 k for 1 bhk semi furnished..
even mumbai's cheaper than tht....
then some more taxes like professional and all... in all 3.2 is also a joke... real salary comes around 2.3

Why does TCS recruit Non-CS students ? I'm a ECE student btw and TCS recruited 92 ECE students and 89 CS students last year! 😐
mystaku
ECE ppl have some clue about programming and microprocessors at least . In our college , ppl from civil , biotech , nanotech are also taken ( that too in huge numbers ) . I am not sure why do they do that . But ppl who dont get the good jobs or their core companies sit for TCS . I would suggest better try to go for some electronics company . At least u ll have some job satisfaction . Even TCS is fine . But it might be like learning everything from scratch .

There's NO tax for those whose income is 5 lakhs or below. TCS is weird 😃

Income Tax deptt will have to be wierd for that to happen.

U r misinformed ... TCS duznt decide these issues .. organizations just comply with the guidelines issued by relevant authority.
That's what I said. The "relevant authority" had decided the slab a few months ago. So every one has to follow it according to rules. But no one follows rules here at least in our country

Are u tryin to say TCS is stealing tax ??

I dont think that can be the case .. everyone is given Form 16 so that
I T R ( SAHAJ and SUGAM)can be filed.
Form 16 shows the TDS paid.
Hi,
I have around 4 years and 1 month of exp in Telecom Billing Testing and support and presently working with an IT MNC (Amdocs). I got an offer from TCS of 9 lpa and Mumbai as joining location.
they have offered me ITA role and other benefits as per TCS policies.
1. Is designation ok with my expereince?
2. my current CTC is 7.15 LPA (after this year appraisal) and based in Pune. Should I relocate to Mumbai for this much hike?
Is this a good deal with respect to Exp and package ? Also they have asked me related to role for both tester and Lead .So ,I am not sure on that.
hello...u should be going there..a lot of onsite opps ...good appraisals too....i knw people happy there working.......

LOL... there IS tax for ppl earning 3.2lpa or even 2lpa.... only thing is, don't have to FILE your tax, unless your income exceeds 5lpa.
Another thing, when companies say 3.2 CTC, it includes their contribution to your PF/gratuity. In addition to this, you'll have to contribute atleast the same amount that the company contributes to your PF account... there is nothing weird about this procedure... PF and HRA together would account for 8-9k in IT companies, and you are left with 16k, IF you avail company acco....
Can anyone tell me whether the minimum requirements of TCS is 60% in each semester or CGPA of 6 semesters?
CGPA only and no standing arrears when u join
Hi Guys,
Need you suggestion on this.
I am currently doing my masters in management and Information systems at one of three top B-schools in the UK. I have about 4 years of experience in IT as an Analyst. I was with TCS and now on sabbatical. I am looking forward to a consultant role in IT strategy. I would like to know your opinions on, Designation and Renumeration, - I was an ASE and on the verge of getting promoted to next level(ITA). I am looking for the next level as assistant consultant and I am not sure I can get it(It normally takes 7 years of Exp) for that designation. What package can I expect, given I was earning around 5LPA before I left and I am looking atleast 10LPA now. My peers are earning around 7LPA now and I surely think of earning more than them.
P.S - I am doing my masters at one of the premier schools(Tier 1) in the UK although it is not an MBA.
Looking forward to your opinions and suggestions.
Kind Regards

Now,I'm in ILP in Trivandrum. My base-branch is Delhi.I got an IOU called BFS2(Banking Financial services 2). Can anyone put light on this?? Who are the clients in this IOU??
Hi everyone,
I'm a recent B-school passout and being offered a Management Trainee - Grade Y role with 4.77 ctc. I'd be very thankful if u guys cud help me with these queries:
1. What does the grade represent? Is 'Y' reasonable?
2. From the info on this topic, the career path for an MBA seems to be:
MT > ASA > SA > AST > ASC n so on..
for BTech, it is
ASET > ASE >ITA>AST>ASC...
If the amount of time taken to reach AST level (common for both) is the same, wht's the advantage of having an additional MBA degree??
3. What is the general hike expected by management graduates, is it similar to their tech counterparts (5-15%) ?
4. I've heard that TCS now allots base branch based on one's recruitment branch/location? Is that true ? or Are MBA grads also allowed to provide their 3 choices after ILP?
5. What would the ILP include ? Iwas told that we'd be trained on a Functionality (like SAP, Oracle Apps etc.) and wud be given a Functional Consultant role after training, is an FC role equivalent to ASA ?
6. My MBA was focused on Oil & Gas sector, can i ask for Energy specific projects as i'd be able to contribute much more to the brand there.
7. If the mgmt tries to allot tech work to me, how should i react ?? Can i say 'No' straight-forwardly ?
Any additional info would be highly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
Nitin
