ILP will be of 60 working days. Officially,there is no leave in ILP. But you can take max.of 2 days leave providing valid reasons(esp medical emergency). More than that will lead to discontinuation of ILP & you'll have to rejoin in next ILP-joining batch.

Yes !!! Thats there . Leave will be granted only for 2 days during the whole ILP . Not more than that . When is ur joining date and when do u have the interviews ?

Hi,
I recently joined TCS in June-2011 as systems engineer and package of 6.2, having exp of 3.4 years. I wish to know below :

1. Is it a good offer ?
2. When can we expect the next hike and quantum ? just got to hear that we will get only performance appraisal hike after 1 year and then yearly pay hike will be in april 2013.
3. What's the time period after which we can look for project change> Its been 3 months in my current project and I have not been assigned any work and wish to go onsite within TCS from some other project.

Wow 6.2 with 3.4 years of experience , not bad when you see the work culture in TCS. A project release is a difficult thing to get , but then it depends on your project requirement and your boss . :P
Next appraisal should be after you finish a year and as of now you shouldn't expect anything more than 10-12 %
And everyone wants to go onsite from TCS 😃

my grade is going to change from C1 to C2 after 6 yrs. Will I get a salary raise automatically or nothing will change with this?


C1 to C2 is a band progression ..... Also, You will get the change in designation I assume .. Expected Hike 10% .. All the best

I have a joining letter for tcs on oct 10 th but i wanna join accenture but their call will only come after christmas.If i break the bond by tcs and join accenture will it cause a problem at accenture especially with all the national skills registry.senior guys please help me out

Could you guys lemme know the pros/cons of switching from developer to business analyst in TCS.

The bond amount is 50 k as mentioned in the agreement . No scholarships i think . I asked a guy with 8 yrs experience about MBA . He told they can sponsor u in case u r a good performer and get an admission in a good college . But u ll have to work in TCS for 3 years after MBA . He gave me example of some of his relative who was sponsored by TCS for his MBA at AIM Manila . But still i would suggest , dont count on this option totally .

And designation again varies according to ur experience . For a fresher , the designation is Business Analyst . Experienced guys can manage better profiles like Assistant Consultant or Consultant.

Hi puys i have a query on behalf of my friend

his previous band was D (3.5 rating) of confirmation and nnow he got h1 rating as 2.8 as he is on bench right now. is this a cause of worry he is very tensed and want feedback. will they give pink slip or any demerits anything??

Don't take it negative.. Ask him to get into a proj asap and make sure he gets C in H2.. everything sud be fine..

So if one applies for leave and no matter whichever college he gets admission(even if he is not sponsored by TCS) but when he comes back can he expect profile like Assistant Consultant or he can only expect if he does MBA from top colleges?

No. Students only from good colleges get lateral placements . Anyways if one is working in TCS for an year or more , there is no point in leaving for an average college . Do try for the good ones . And yeah TCS sponsors only if u get admission in a good college .

He he I am also a beginner . Just now started working . But still i would say it depends on ur career aims and ur ability . Btw NMIMS is a very good college . Yeah it is a very good option .

I asked the same quest to my HR regarding the package, He told me It purely depends on the institute! Better discuss with ur HR he might give you more info on that..

hi..TCS were in our campus a few days back...and they had a strict 60% criteria throughout ur career..not even 59.9 wil do...recruited 10 ppl...dnt wat wil be the case in ur campus...
