Recieved e-mail conformation a week before but still have not got the offer letter.Like to know how many days they normally take to send the offer letter.

I applied in R2, Got an interview call today.

Interview lasted for around 25 minutes, Single Interviewer. It was on video skype. The questions I remember were following


  1. If a book is written on you. What would be its title?
  2. Why MBA now?
  3. Mention your biggest achievement
  4. Mention a time when you didnt succeed
  5. Which specialization you would like to take at Sauder
  6. Why Canada for MBA?
  7. I had mentioned about my entrepreneurial venture, There were cross questions about that
  8. How would you contribute to Sauder.
  9. Any questions?


After 2 weeks I got offer letter and Schol information.

Hi Aarti,
Congrats on getting selected. An earlier post has the interview questions. The same questions were asked in my interview as well. So be prepared to answer those questions. More over it is important for you to have clarity on ur career track. Coz once the interviewer asks you his pre decided set of questions, he might wana further verify if you have the clarity in thoughts about ur career track. This will also be reflected by your essays and so your answers should be in line with what your essays are.

You can take suggestions from others as well. But what worked for me was my clarity in the career track and how i knew the UBC program (aptly) will lead me to tht career accomplishment. So you could read on the alumni posts, Get a flavour of what helped them and how UBC groomed them. Build your story and speak it out in the interview. The KEY here is definitely to reach out to the interview how UBC (on the whole) for you is a perfect fit !!!

Yes they have asked us to register by 16th April. Dont know if it is related to the registration process..

Sorry I have not contacted any Alumni so far. However they have sent the list of some of the worldwide Alumni with admission letter.

Hi Aarti, if you email the admin team, they can put you in contact with Sauder Alumni, You can also ask for contact info of current students, who may be able to answer specific questions for you.

Also if you want PM me your email address and I can send you a copy of the Alumni list they sent us. I think that should be okay to do that.
