I have my int on sunday 8th may at 11am. I have 98.48 %ile. What are my chances of gettin in wellingkars? I am really nervous.

i dint knw we were supposed to carry the cat scorecard during our gds.. anyways as it is u have already submitted with the form .. so dont worry... still better wud be tht you call them up and confirm... if they require 1 more copy jus semd em!!

Well firstly.....loads of luck to all........and second ...thanks to the people for posting their experiences.
I have got my session on 7th at 1:45.......
hoping that it goes smoothly......one thing is good that they do not ask any acadmecis related question.
well regarding the question on which institute is better.....i belive the older the institution, the more alumni and hence a batter industry interface.
but this does not mean that wellingkar is a bad option .Its as good as any other.
So i would rank JB as top....sydneham next...and then welling and somaya on same level.

had my experience of welingkars today........ gd topic ' INDIA DOESNT HAVE MANY SPORTS ICONS ' strict instruction from mods in gd that no domination,no cross cutting, one at a time etc etc.........spoke 7-8 times and even concluded the gd..
PI- profile- bms,pdgft, plus 10 months exp at textile firms
qs asked- why mba, what plans after 5-10 yrs , export oriented questions , demand-supply- , case wherein i had to convince a customer at my price being mktg manager- soln- render more services, what problems for textile industries ... and thats abt it guys was kinda a stress interview but i guess i convinced them otherwise.......

guys some one said the older the better when it comes to institutes.....well by that logic too welingkar wud be better, coz it started in 1977 n kjs began in 1980...hey ppl from bombay, what's ur take on the comparison bet kjs and welingkar...i kno jb n spj are much better, but wat abt jus these 2......?!!

i wud say kj is way beter than welingkars...if u have time on ur side give another shot at entrance
if this is ur last year than go for welingkars...coz its not a bad institute..but not amongst the best

hey thanksz for the feed back..itsz really nice of ya to post it...jus one question..even my pal had his gd today...apparently none of the observers mentioned nethin bout discipline..n he was hardly griiled..in fact..no one was....the gd was a major fish market where most people spoke crap.....
can u temme if other groups were briefed on the discipline part by the panel...

Guysz...jus one more thing..my pal had his gd/pi yesterday..his gd started wid the people giving them 2 topics..they had to choose one..without coming to a consensus..a few chose the second topic...:huh: the gd started as a major fish market and ended on the same note....jus one gal was dominating..n the worst part was she was talking absolute crap!!!
At the end of the gd..the panelist told the group members that it was a pathetic gd where no value was added..n hence there is a good possibility that the entire group may be disqualified...

wat i hrd from a frnd yest tht they were given only 10 mins for the gd....
that boil down to jus 1 min per person (if sense prevails)
rest assured if tht is da case than outta 10....6 mins will go in a fish market,...

hi the thread i must say is getting better and better. hey dude u with that %ile nervous! trust me it will be the weling people who must be nervous interviewing u. i mean they must have had a shock of their life seeing ur application. wat happened why u here ? not trying to demoralise u but really curious!!!!!!! wel is decent enough and relax if u want that u have a fair edge over others

a friend of mine had his gd/ pi today. it waz not diff frm oters.
the topic they were given ' will india be a superpower by 2020' . well such a nice topic , but the gd was no more than a fish market. there was a guy who contradicted most of the points . at the end he waz given a piece of mind by the observers.
the pi was cool n the questions asked were frm the form itself . nothin new .
the majority of the applicants were wid work ex.
this fact puts us to lil worry , since we r freshers wid no work ex.
and the fact tat many studs make thru back door entry. the chances 4 us is surely less .
