according to my analysis after reading all the posts, is that the majority of students who have applied through CET have been called on 5th and 6th and those with CAT on 7th and 8th in mumbai . And even in that, majority of students have been called according to their marks in CAT/CET ( meaning those with higher scores have been called first). There may be a few exceptions here and there, basically for those who have work-ex or exceptional acads. But i guess more or less, from what i can understand, this should be the strategy that has been followed. Since most of the ppl have had a decent gd,pi and pt, i guess the CAT/CET marks will play a major role in deciding. Well, this is purely my analysis.... what do you guys think about it?

mine was yesterday 10.45 am.
gd : 2 choices - shud 1 yr mba replace 2 yrs... my view was both cater to diff students. was a fish market in fits and a like a church at other times. 1 male and 1 female dominated. male was stronger, female was blabbering...panelists actually laughed at the chaos at one point. went on for 15 mins or more.
pi : 3 panelists went for 15 mins, quite long i thought. initially good rapport,counselled me tht i am fit for marketing dont think abt hr etc. came to eco times, told them dont read it much, grilled.
middle gentleman (all 3 were males and from industry it seems) was quiet,brooding and piercing my soul with his hostile glare with suspicious questions.
good acads and extra-curricular so centered around tht.also work ex.
why mba? 5-6 down the line u'll be? nothing asked abt the form filled..damn i had prepared for tht!! went well, seemed convinced abt my marketing,communication skills. keeping my fingers crossed.
would like to mention tht welingkars is a top grade prof institute with the seniors impeccable in manners and organisation.would like to mention sandeep kelkar, who guided thru the psycho test, such a pleasant personality and honest.if this is the product after 1 year ,cant wait to join...
we recd food packs, sandwich and water in a paper bag printed with welingkars but alas forgot to eat and left it somewhere between psycho and pi!!
excellent managment unlike MICA which was pathetic in organisation and the managment skills and panelists reached the pinnacle of miscommunication. one was slumping in the chair awkwardly and scratching head during pi, thier english was some remote dialect from timbuktoo.
was very pleased with the efforts of welingkar seniors and staff,ambience excellent.
well almost forgot : YOU STILL HAVE THE OPTION TO OPT FOR E-BIZ ! they explained u dont have to be a techie to join, 4 batches graduated with 100% placement and good prospects in all industries...be sure to mark it during psycho test. also u can choose for bangalore separate pgdba as well as the campus. WCM - world class mngmnt still not clear abt but u can choose tht too..i didnt.
a friend in weli's in mms said the e-biz course is excellent in design and wished he had done tht, hes from commerce same coll as mine.good faculty and program.
i hope i covered the imp aspects...

the best score of CET/CAT has been considered and points out of 100 has already been alloted to you. And, i guess, you have been called based on the score that has been considered.

Well NMIMS ordinarily, without a doubt, but since you're through in Mgement Quota, evaluate your cost-benefit. Welingkars through merit may be the better option if you get through; I think the costs are 3,50,000/- at Welingkars for fees, NMIMS total cost touches near 8.5 lakhs for two years. Board and lodging extra for outstation candidates in both cases. I don't think the gap in their placements is wide enough to justify the difference, other things being equal.

Just to answer a few queries. To be considered for e-biz, for ppl who hvnt opted for it, just send a mail to the college.
WCM is a completely different course. You will have to apply separately for that. Admissions are open. Check out the website for details.
Now that quite a few ppl have seen me, i was at both b'lore and mumbai. Psy test and Reg. desk respectively. btw sandeep kelkar is part of the staff. The IT admin team helped us out by managing the psychometric test. The guys/gals outside in blazers were 1-yr students.

I cannot say for sure. This depends on how the others performed and I do not have an idea on this. Based on experience, I can say that it may not be that easy.

well, just to say thnx to adits_pg, first year students (namisha, bob, tejdhar, everyone who was on d floor assisting us) for all the help. D whole process was cool, esp with d stress relievers. Even d director Dr. Uday Salunkhe seems vry jovial.
Adits can u tell when would d first list be released??...cos d students at the college said tht i would take a minimum of 15 days and no way wud d results b out by may 15.
