as far as i know welingkar takes either CAT or CET scores.since yr cat percentile is not that gr8, u'd have to take CET. i guess thats the only option...

Yup m8...i agree with nuttynicks above....you will have to give CET and get a decent score (somewhere near 90%) to be absolutely sure of getting a call from Welingkars...no other option m8.... also whats your educational background so far if i may ask ?

A good discussion but to add on i have few questions.
I have 85 percentile in CAT and i have good acads of 76 % in SSC and HSC(commerce) . I have completed my Mcom-I and I have 16 mths work ex. what are my chances of getting a call from welingkar and I also want to know abt PGPeb-biz what r its prospects. I request any current student or alumni to give details about PGPeb program.

The PGPeB program is an MBA program which has an added technology component. This means you will have 4-5 subjects additional in every semester. These subjects will be on technology. By technology i dont mean only information technology, so you need not be a technical expert to know them. It gives a huge advantage when you start off.
I had attached a one-pager on the course. It is dated January 2005 which means it is a year old, but should suffice to give you an idea. I am having trouble uploading it again here. Please locate it among my previous posts.
The batch of 2003-2005 finished their placements shortly after the file was updated, so it should read as 100%.
Updates in terms of companies which have recruited ppl from ebiz are mostly in terms of more companies and may be subjects. These can be updated only by ppl who are currently in the course.

Hey Tanvi.... I guess with 80% in CAT...i think you might have a fair chance of making it thru..... but dont take my word for it...wait some other members to respond as well....btw if you are giving CET then I would advise you fill the form and then if you get a better %ile in CET ...you could submit that score as well..... think abt it...

well ppl i am EBIZ student (batch 05-07)
he is rt we have normally 2 subjects in addition to normal PGDBM subjects
it ranges frm IT subjects like MIS, DBMS to telecom , BPO, EBIZ etc
u get exposed to both tech subjects and also management subjects
u dont need to be engg. even we have so many commerce ppl in the class
its almost 50-50
u can do well with the tech subjects coz its not coding etc bt underatanding of the technology per se
whtelse u ppl want to knw
ask me i am ready to answer all ur queries

i sent so many posts earlier still ppl have doubts
let me clear ur doubt again
listen all those who have got CAT percentile above 75 must apply
there is no sectional cut off
and plz fill the forms very well coz our director prof. dr. uday salunke sir personally looks into each and every form so u shud write all the answers very well
i wud suggest u all to take the help of some ppl who cud advice u to write better answers trust me it carries weightage
prepare very well fr GD , PI, psyco test
coz welingkar gives gud weightage to GD , PI and sp to psyco test
so shud give as many mock gd and pi as possible before appearing fr the D day
and trust me there wud be questions on ur academics work ex gk and wht nt so u shud be able to answer ( i am sure u must be learning all these tricks at various preparatory institutes like CL, IMS etc)
see rem. getting a call is nt gr8 but converting it is sumthing gr8.
dont forget welingakar gave call to 2500 ppl last yr of which only 180 were selected
and day by day things are getting tuff so u have to really work well
and those who are applying to EBIZ ur forms shud have the reason why u want to learn EBIZ all ppl who apply fr EBIZ along with PG their form are personally examined by DEAN EBIZ Prof. Pandsey
and those who are applying thru CET shuld get above 80 or sumthing to expect a call frm welingkar.
THESE ARE JUST THE ESTIMATES LOOKING AT THE LAST YR CALLS THINGS CULD BE DIFFERENT THIS TIME.
