Hi, I hv heard dat IMS simcats r too experimentative, something dat wd never happen in actual CAT. Time ka AIMCATs does appear tough..but most closely resembles the CAT pattern for the last two yrs....nd this time their package is quite attractive 20 AIMCATs for just!!! 1950/- only. (pls re-confirm it).


well i too heard that time is giving 20 tests @ 1950/-
but didnt find anythng of this sought in TIME website.

I would strongly suggest TIME mock CATs....
Reasons:
1. 20 mock CATs give enough space to TIME to experiment and gives you enough time even if you miss couple of them.
2. Closest as far as actual CAT goes.
3. Max number of aspirants/test takers...so you get to compete against your would be classmates in IIMs.
4. Nothing beats combination of (TIME mock CATs + corresponding discussions (read: cheer-fadna) of each and every question on PG)

Yes the TIME AIMCAT's are available for 1950/ but there is no mention on their website regarding this.
Bu you can verify it with your nearest TIMe centre.

Probably taking two test series is not a bad idea. Time in combination with IMS or CL..I'm opting for TIME & CL combo..

Its difficult to take two tests in morning and afternoon shifts without playing spoilsport on at least one
However if you have them on alternate days thats cool
Though test dates may not be clashing that much in the coming months they are bound to when weekly tests start near the end

called up ims and time offices they have denied any more free/open mocks "in the near future at least"

The free MOCK's from both TIME and IMS have already been conducted on the 18th of MAY.

There won't be any more free Mock CAT's.

And please check the conversation going on from the last few pages, you will get all your queries answered.
I would request you to just go through the ongoing discussion before putting up the queries as most of them have been answered in the previous posts.

Well nteresting discussion going on. I have already joined TIME 3250/- package. I think after CAT ,there will be enough time to think seriously about other exams as well & 8 exxtra Mocks will definitely help in the preparation for those exams......

I think TIME and CL combo would be good for me.

Usually CL has two slotes for its test.So u can plan accordingly.

TIME is at morning slot of around 9 AM.

CL`s slot are morning and evening.

As most of the coaching institutes have started their All India MOck Cat series...and most of you are giving Mocks of one or the other institute...Please help me in my project guys...I am doing my intern@ PaGaLGuY.com..and I want the details of the schools and colleges where these MOCK CATs are held...
1) Name of the school
2) Coaching institute
3) Location of the school( mock CAt center)

Please do not post any detail on the thread ....PM ( personal message) the details....I'll be really grateful...

An apt decision on your front.

However i am solely concentrating on giving AIMCAT as i feel that the rest of the tests never receive enough takers and you never get the real picture.
As far as practice is concerned you certainly do get a better hands on experience from giving these tests but i would take the papers and solve it at my place.

2.costs 3250-includes 20 MOCKs,8 MOCKs for other exams like SNAP,FMS etc..and 5 previous CAT papers etc .etc....

I dont think there should be any problem...
You'll have to inform the insti for sure...
I know about IMS and they are very cool about the transfer....
