Arguably, Mr. Sanjay Bakshi is the best finance prof in India. He teaches at MDI, Gurgaon, where he teaches MBA students two courses: Behavioral Finance & Business Valuation (BFBV) and Financial Shenanigans & Governance (FSG).

He is a CA by profession and has been a value investor for last 15 years or so.
U will get huge insights if u follow him closely. Try to google everything out there about him. He is also on facebook.

U can go through his website Sanjay Bakshi?s Website

Hey living,
Loving numbers won't be enough, you'd need to play with numbers and make a very beautiful story (profits!) out of it. If you can do that, voila!
Accounting, KPO jobs in IB, sales & trading, PE involve number crunching.
I want to know what all roles allows me to play with numbers and make a beautiful story(profits)..........and also I cant do Client facing..........however hard I try......My mind and My words dont say the same thing.
Also I have inclination towards Stock Trading( precisely Value Investments)..........any specific role which will let me do this.
P.S : Hope You could make some sense out of this post as to what I am trying to say.
these certifications will help gain knowledge as well as show interest in finance during interviews..

Hi,
Well, there is a role that matches your interest. Sales & Trading desks at many BB IBs & Brokerage Houses require people with mad Quant skills and they don't have to deal with clients, as per my knowledge. You can make love with numbers here

Equity Research Analyst is a profile where you have to find out various equity investment opportunities and generate "BUY", "SELL" & "HOLD" calls. You might want to gather more about it. But in this role you'll have to deal with other people, but not clients per se.
I think there is one more profile which may interest you. In Insurance Business companies create various products where they need to decide premium, float and that sort of stuff. I think, your skills should help you there too.
I think other puyz will be able to guide you better about these kind of roles.
P.S. : Although I understood what you meant to say, try to post neater posts, unlike FB status π

So you want to get into value investments or trading value stocks , i mean trading based on fundamental analysis of the firm , finding undervalued stocks and buying them at the stock market
These roles are research specialists in a industrial sector helping fund managers or traders make profits π
I am a passout of Electronics & Comm. engg. in 2009 , didn't join [email protected] lacs p.a.

1)Shall i continue in this business with my father

Hi,
Which one interests you the most? If you're sure about this one, it won't be difficult or complicated, regardless of the situation. Situations come and go, interests don't. This is just a downturn - just like others - which will turn upwards - just like others π
Remember, nothing lasts forever - neither one's problems nor bear markets ;)
Good luck for CFA

Seerdiai SaysYa xactly ...
Ok let me tell u smthn frm personal exp. I was a portfolio manager at the no.1 private bank in India. Now what is a portfolio manager at an Indian Private Bank? You will be managing client's portfolios. But you know at the end of the day what you are rated on? Its on how much sales you did, how much income did you get for the bank. If you are a person who loves Finance and what to know more in Finance, please dont even think of joining such a role. Investment Management at an I Bank is much much better. Still if you are interested you can give me ur cv, I will refer you as I am still serving my notice period
so, u say investment management at an I Bank is good. ?????
let me put it in this way, actually i am sorry my bad i am interested in joining only in Investment banks under investment management- portfolio. . . .. .
is investment management at an I bank is better than Investment banking(mergers ans Acqt) ???
noo . . .actually i am working on my job prospect . . . might be after 2 months i would start searching for job .. . now i am just working on to select my options . . .
