When registering for CFA, there is no option not to go for study materials right?? We shud order for atleast eBook version if not printed version. So in that case is Schweser Notes necessary or eBook version is good enough??
Regarding NCFM, only first few courses have study materials. Others dont have. Any idea where can I find them.
I know its too early and I havent even started my preparation. But just want to get all my queries cleared..
Hii, i am an engineer working in a manufacturing company...i always wanted to pursue MBA- finance...however, with the kind of circumstances at the time of graduation, i could not secure admission in any of the top b schools.... currently i am having an experience of2 yrs, by the time i take admission next yr its gonna be 3 yrs... Now all this experience is non finance..(its more suitable for operations).. However...but original passion remains with finance.... so my query here is, how good an idea it is to pursue finance after working in non finance field for 3 yrs....both in terms of value addtion and the kind of roles offered at the time of placements... Just to brief abt my acads,, 10th- 92% 12th- 89% Grad- 59 % :(....( am i eleigible for top co.s ???)
yaar ek advice chaiye NMIMS ( core ) and IMT ghaziabad ( finance ) me kaun sa better h finance ke liye ? agar pata ho toh bata do koi ...Dhanyevaad :)
Though I don't have much idea about both of them but simple common sense gives me some reasons for chosing nm(core) because
A) mumbai - financial capital of india B) nm core is flagship programme of nm, where as imt g has flagship programme as pgdm, which is marketing C) I think nm has lesser batch strength which again is an adv D) nm has only mumbai as a centre where as imt g has several other centres, what I mean is brand dilution due to larger batch strength and multiple centres P.S : these are completely my views nothing intended towards any of the colleges.
I was under the impression that IMT Ghaziabad has very good placements due to the good contacts of the board / faculty there.
Correct me if I am wrong.

Two wrong facts in your statement
NMIMS and IMT G have almost same batch strength if you combine all the courses.
NMIMS also has new centres in Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Ur job will be to analyze wat clients' business needs and how it can be improved. That is wat BA/consultants basically do. Tho names differ ..like u mite join as a BA and later become consultant...but work remains the same. So this is wat MBAs do. A Chartered Accnt mite also be given the task to handle the cost associated wid a project.

Check out this link for world's top 16 B-Schools for MBA Finance. Out of these 16, 5 are Indian B-Schools 😃 which are IIM - A,B,C, ISB & SPJIMR....!!! We represent 31.25% share, isn't that great? It is even more surprising that MIT Sloan is behind most of our B-Schools!
