I'm actually doing pretty well in DM and VA but my QA scores are a disgrace in the mocks. I fall behind in the accuracy. What should I do to improve? I actually do know how to proceed about a question and solve it, too but I guess sometimes I miss out certain possibilities in questions, e.g., in questions like what can be the maximum value 0f a+b+c, I usually miss out one possibility that is actually the answer and mark the option I've managed to work out. QA section doesn't really overwhelm me, but at the end of every mock, I'm at 9/8/7/7/7/6.5/6.3. I'm solving TIME and Oliveboard XAT mocks.
Any suggestions/anything new that I could try to get past this roadblock of diving headfirst into the answers?
*XAT 101 mock- IMS* What are the percentile vs score ranges? Close to actual XAT? Does it have XAT relevant topics for GK?
Child Care, a pharmaceutical major with a global presence, launched a new product – Yum Baby Food – in the Indian market. After a lukewarm response in the market, owing to tough competition from established brands like Farel and Cerelam, the CEO of the company, Mr. Amerigo Brit, called a meeting. He declared that the agenda of the meeting was to eliminate all the obstacles responsible for the failure of the product and to build a new strategy to ensure the product was well-received the second time.
Mr. Brit started the discussion by blaming the Marketing Team – a fully Indian team – for its ineffective market plan. He was also very critical of the Business Head, Mr. Rai, for a lack-lustre development plan.
Mr. Brit read a list of expected changes to be introduced with immediate effect. They were:
1. Introduction of at least two American officers, who will hold the key positions, in the two defaulting departments – Planning and Marketing
2. Mr. Rai to be demoted to the position of Assistant Business Executive – he would report to Mr. Sigmund Bonaparte, the new Business Head
3. Rigorous training sessions for the Marketing Team
4. Fortnightly evaluation of the performance of the Marketing Team – defaulters could be demoted after two memos
5. A Quality Control Team to look into production and output
6. Relaunching the product with new sets of print and TV commercials
7. Signing on a celebrity brand ambassador – preferably some superstar or cricket icon.
The Indian workers were very upset with these drastic changes, which clearly implied that they were being held solely responsible for the failure of the product. They planned to form a union and demand an apology and a thorough investigation into the reasons for the failure. What seems like the most probale reason for Mr Brit's prejudiced assesement of the situation?

Sanchit group of Hospitals seeks to improve the success rate and patient satisfaction rate by 100% in the next
year. However, the management can't afford to send doctors for professional development outside the country
nor afford purchasing more equipment. As an in-house measure, the managing board thought of having doctors
with high patient satisfaction to mentor those with less. Most of the doctors found it an interference by the
management, judgmental and an expression of distrust. There were, however, some isolated few who found it a
novel way of learning from each other. The doctors felt the management should instead increase consultancy
fees and spend more on recruiting more paramedics who could spend time with patients, rather than blame
doctors and decided to call it quits. For the management, this would mean loss of patients.
44. Which of the following decisions is most likely to satisfy all the stakeholders?
(1) Raise income of doctors and reduce the waiting time of patients.
(2) Increase the income of doctors and paramedics, and the ambiance of the hospital.
(3) Increase the income of doctors and the number of paramedics.
(4) Give 30% discount on medicines purchased from the hospital store.
(5) Allow doctors to choose patients based on income levels, thus profiting both patients and the
organization.
with logic please

You are a movie critic and you write movie reviews for a website called TheMedievalMinute. Your job is to watch a movie on the day it is released, write a review and submit it for publication before 2 PM on that day. Your editor, Chandni, is particular about your review being one of the first reviews to be published on the internet. TheMedievalMinute is followed by over a million people and your personal social media accounts further increase the reach of your review. You wrote a review for a movie that has been loved by the audience who’ve watched the movie. However, you did not like the movie and you gave it a rating of 2 out of 5. You explained the reasons for the same in your review. But some of the people who liked the movie started bashing your review online and have been campaigning to take that review off the website. You have heard from your fellow reviewers that even they experienced this and that they had filed complaints against these people, but it was futile to do so.Which of the following should you do next?
a) Take your review off the website.
b) File a complaint against the people resorting to such campaigns.
c) Delete your social media accounts.
d) Address every single person bashing your review and explain to them why you did not like the movie.
e)Acknowledge the fact that everyone is entitled to their opinions and ignore the unwarranted backlash.
You are a student of Bharat Management Institute, Delhi. Your college’s annual technical as well as cultural fest called “Infusion” is only three months away and there are ten teams working for the fest and each team comprises of 5-8 members. The fest is entirely taken care of by the students and the college rules mention that the management will not involve themselves in any of the activities related to the fest. You’ve been made the Publicity Head for the fest and your job is to ensure that you get as many people as you can to participate in the events of your fest. Some of your team members suggest that it would be better if you could advertise your fest in the local newspapers. That way you would be able to increase your reach. But the funds have not come in yet and you feel that a better way to increase your reach would be by going to colleges directly and talking to the students there. However, not many in your team are willing to travel to other colleges because it will be too much effort. Which of the following courses of action would be most effective?
a) Hold a batch meeting and try to persuade your batchmates to take a day out for the sake of their college.
b) Select a college ambassador from every college you want to publicize in and ensure that the word about the fest gets spread through these ambassadors.
c) Make do with anyone who is available in your college and compel them to go to other colleges.
d) Advertise in newspapers, televisions and radio channels.
e)Try to get an order from the Dean of the college to make it compulsory for every student to work on the fest.
What sources are you guys using for GK ?

Landing in your dream b-school is a great feat and one should be congratulated for that. BUT the real journey starts once you are in there and have to compete with your batchmates with stellar grades just like you. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO CREATE A DIFFERENCE? Read this article to know how you can work on your profile and give your interviewer to something else to talk about rather than just your grades. https://insideiim.com/guide-to-build-profile-for-freshers?src=NikitaTayal

This is a question from DM in XAT 2018,
Satyender heads a branch of a Micro-Finance company. The company provides small-size loans catering to rural households. As the head of the branch, he supervises three collection officers - Palani, Sayed, and Godwin. Palani was recently transferred by the company from another branch. Sayed feared Palani's transfer may pull down the performance of the branch, as he felt Palani was transferred due to his poor performance in the previous branch.
Q1: Which of the following is most likely to reduce Sayed fear
1.Satyender has impeccable record in last 12 year in terms of his team performance.
2. New joinees performance is not taken into account for performance evaluation.
Cracku has given 2 as correct whereas, ims has given 1.
Which is correct?
did anybody giving CL mocks and sectionals feel that many of the answers for DM made no sense? can someone please recommend a better place to practice from, which is close to actual XAT DM and expected answers?
