as far as xiss is concernd...they keep a cutoff of as low as 30%tile for gdpi calls..so u can see a large no. of guys being shorlistd fr the dif. courses..n as far as courses r conrnd..xiss's hr is only up to the mark with all the rest of courses not even offerin 100% plcmnts..n most of the seats gets booked by the internal management..talk to any localite n he'll tell the truth about this insti..last year studnts scoring 85-86%tils weren't thru to HR..and gd pi's only a formality..u ppl won't get a competition here..

See I have a percentile of 94.46...LIBA ditched me so its the only other institute I have applied for.So if the seats are booked by internal management do I have any chance to get thrugh?

u surely hv a upper hand with ur marks and ur totally expected to make it ...but u hv to giv ur best for gd/pi....
and main thing is u hv to convince thm tht at ths score u really want to get in ths colg.

As i hv talked to some students...topics will be general but seeing the number of students i thnk there will be 12-15 student in a group like last time it happned....so its quite noisy...
regarding pi ...last time there was pannel of 2..and mostly acads questions...
in marketing with a profile like tht i thnk u hv gud chances...

You will surely get through , don't think about the internal management seats too much because it might hamper ones preparation about the GD and PI...our object is to give our best and it has to be the way like the quotation....."give a good fight" thng...Best of Luck !! Do well !!

The topics in GD PI prmarily focusses on the social issues and we have to prepare about the year's latest social issues n stuff....in the PI stage i think the question is very much answered with the view point that we have to think about the answers of why to go for a personnel management which has the aspect of industrial relations and trade unions. So if a person has a background of an engineer then he/she has to think about the aspect of the answers that suites an IR and a PM with the kind of background. I am myself a 5 yr law graduate so i think we have to do some basic thinking before shooting answers.

is it true dat gd/pi is only a formality?? i am really confused nd worried now...my xat percentile is quite low...just 75.11...so do i stand ne chance evn if i do good in gd/pi???...

guys, i have 89% ile in xat, and following some earlier posts it seems like it would be easy getting in with these marks..But i had applied for PM and IM COURSE. for PM my gd-pi is on 30th april and for IM it is on 14th. so is it possible to getting the date for PM changed to 15 as to then i have to come all the way to ranchi only once.. seniors help...its urgent

dude also temme about the gd-pi process process that is prevelant there, i mean is it the normal gd-pi or smthng extra attahed to it..

no the process only hv gd and pi..thers nothing extra attached to it....
as said by some guys the topics will be social and current..so dont worry much just going to thru the papers will do ....
people having good communication skill can easily put there point fwd cos u will hv mixed number of people as xiss gives calls to wide range of xat percentile students...
as told by frnds pi focuses on acads if ur fresher and hr question in which u hv to convince thm y u wana choose this colg,y pm and etc...
and as said above give ur best and dont focus on other issues regarding xiss

I dont find that there has been any discussion about the internal management seats till the dates of gd pi came out. I think these topics will create more complications with the fellow aspirants and will de motivate us. In fact i want seniors to come out with answers. It will be a great help to all of us. In the first half of the admission process we have never discussed about any unfairness.....then we all apply to it...and now we are discussing things which will make us insecured ??? Letz not do it !!!

89%tile in xat is more than enuff for xiss...and y did u applied fr the IM course!!!!!..its not worth coming here for IM..only HR to some extent is good..rest u can speak to any localite here n they'll tell u the truth..with a score of 89 u can get HR..for sure..as siad earlier u'll not get a stiff competition here..
