Hi sudeep! Congrats for converting IRMA and SCMHRD !!
Could u plz throw some light on what sort of GD topics were asked last year?.. i mean was it diverse(social/economic/political) or course specific like PM candidates had GD with social issues or finance&marketing; had economic topics?? May sound silly question to u but i've applied to only 1 course, that's Marketing...so pretty worried and XISS my last hope :|
Also what was the average %tile of the candidates who were called for marketing? I scored 75 overall and 10months exp in DELL (Sales)...so what r my chances and what sort of candidates does the interview panel seeks, i mean the approach is focussed more or the profile and acads??
..gone thru lots of posts in this thread i feel that one should be focussed and dedicated towards future goals instead of being too much brainy,techie or aspire to make a better return on investment at placements. But still it would be better to hear from someone who had attended XISS last year.... Plz suggest

well for pm u have gt a very bright chance...
all those problms r nt a very gr8 concern...
just prepare a gud explanation for all those things...that's it just gv a great shot at the interviews..... ATB

hi!! shivam.. i support your views...discouraging an aspirant is an unforgiveable crime ..until the results are declared all are equally compatible for the course...

absolutely agree , no one has any right to talk about one's candidature . and someone who is just 20 posts old person , does not have any knowledge to counsel anyone should keep its mouth shut :nono:because 80 percentile in xat and for xiss is more than enough to get in .
and to discourage someone ( intentionally or non deliberately ) is highly nincompoop , puckish and incompetent task in this world.
sorry to say it but dear it is india where we have 50% quota on one side , stiff competition on other side and then if we people talk about our candidature insanely makes no sense to anyone.

As I've said earlier, percentile is not the factor for not selecting a student for the program. If you have been called even though you have a low percentile, the reason is simple, because you deserve a place.
Next, what you should remember is this institute is not just another one where you walk in show some flashy stuff and you are in. Here they consider how motivated you are for the program and your career. It's very simple, if you are keen on seeking the PM program, and you know this program will help you in achieving your goals, then you will crack the GD/PI easily and will also reserve a place in the batch.

One last doubt, how long does the entire process(GD/PI) last? Have to board train to pune the same day for IMDR... Also i couldn't find the number of seats per course offered in the college website?? ..reservations are 50% but what is total no. of seats in each??.. is it 60??

well sitting in lucknow mumbai and delhi u all are talking about XISS...well i never tried to discourage anyone...whatever i m sayin is that the reality...come to ranchi and u will know.... well if u r askin abt the status of mine prayers they got answered...thanks to the almighty but i choosed nt to join XISS...again its a mtter of choice.. the third thing raised by u was abt my rate of conversion then let me make u clear that i converted evry call mentioned....except i m waitlisted in xlri...it is just nt updated... and the last thing i m nt an expert pagal....well i dont wanna be too....i have nt that got that abundant time...people who have got iim calls and converted it too are that free.... u have converted every calls of urs but u r also nt very active...that's it... its just coz xiss is in ranchi...and i wanna help those people who r nt in ranchi....
and shivam one more thing...learn to talk...it will help u in moving ahead of ur career...IRMA is nt useless career....they teach u to work for sb....they remove ur selfish motive....well u will nt undersatand...

wel,l the process will end by 2 if u r in the 1st slot... stn is 30 mints from xiss...so plan accordingly... sits 4 pm is 60(officially) bt at times they take arnd 70-80

In the brochure it is mentioned there are 75 in RD and PM and 60 in IM,Marketing and Finance out of which 50% seats are reserved in each stream. So dat shud make 30 seats for general in marketing.
I usually never question anyone's statement in a public forum, but this time I would like to take a stand and write it out.
I've never seen a hypocrite like sud.singh or Sudeep Singh or whatever. Son of a gun says that he doesn't have time to write in the forum, and I see his posts scrolling around everywhere on this thread, and maybe somewhere else too. The guy has converted all the calls and now is all squeezed up in answering XISS queries. And, he himself knows that people on this thread have not scrolled back and read pages from the beginning that reflect the reality about XISS.
A big NO THANKS to the chap. As on my part, I don't need no empty vessel clamor's baseless advise. Scroll back some pages amigo.
