I was scheduled on one of the early days for the GD/PI. Here are my findings and experience about the institution. The process is the same as mentioned in earlier posts.
Reporting time 8:30 AM. Its bogus, people came by 9:30 AM and were entertained well. I waited in a room for about 2hours for my name to be called. After interacting with other aspirants I came to know most of them were freshers, perhaps, no one other than me was there with considerable work experience.
Next, the administrator of XISS came in with another faculty member and called out my name, I followed him to another room where I was made to sit with a bunch. The topic was "Management Education is only for Rich". The topic started in a very aggressive way, it was a loud fish market. It took 5mins for me to judge and understand what these future MBA graduates are talking about, as everyone was shouting and scraunching. I raised my voice and conveyed the message which I had. In all it was a cheap and ethical less and batch with no moral. They might have never even known what board room talk is like. I might have stayed quiet instead of talking to such a wretched group, however, to score one needs to take the stand.
Then the participants were made to sit/stand in a gallery. I waited for another 1hour for the Interview. By this time I acknowledged the reality of XISS, about which I would talk later. The interviewer did not entertain my knocking the door and taking permission before entering the room. He offered me the chair. I offered him my CV, but he replied, I would like to hear from you. The other chap asked for my XAT score card. After getting over with the formal signatures, I was asked for an introduction in 2mins. I told him about my life since school days, which included most of the points which I've mentioned in my earlier post. After hearing this, he replied, XISS is not the right palce for you. I was pissed on this reply. I looked at him with hesisation, and then he asked what are the two major problems India faces. I answered Corruption and Population. He asked how much is India's Population, I answered more than a billion. He then argued with me on this point. And the argument went along for a while, then he said thank you, and so did I, the other one didn't have any questions for me and I left with firm disapproval.
After the interview, I left the campus straight, and told myself, really this ain't the place for me.
My findings about XISS.
Administrator - He is the guy who conducts Group Discussions, chai wala come and ask him what to do, he is the so called right hand of the director and the institute. This is so because he is a close relative of the director. The guy was first into Hotel Management, then he joined Personnel Management at the institute and then started working there. He got his wife's sister in the PM program. Next, he has some guy under him who takes 4-5lacks and makes sure the individual gets a place in the program. When I first went to the institute, I thought he is a student and enquired him about the programs, he then gave me his card and said I'm the administrator.
Placement - The highest placement offered on campus to the students of PM program is of around 6lacks from Crain India. The sudent belongs to a place in Bihar and has no work experience. Initially I thought the student must be mature, but meeting him I realized he is more or less just another MBA kid. I enquired him about a few constraints, and he was answering in a way as if he was not sure what to say. This made me feel really auckward.
Students - There are some good looking bold and smart students in the program. I would also include the guy with highest placement. A girl from the same program was looking kind of nice. But the majority of the students are freshers, with limited experience and they talk and behave in a way that they are into just another college, not at all like a decent MBA graduate from a good institution in India.
Finally, this is not the college for students who have high ethics and moral. This is just another MBA institute and it is not even worth the hype created. The course fee is less and so is the standard. The faculty does not have much knowledge. The one who interviewed me for sure didn't understand half of the things I told him, or was not in a position to accept anything like that.
Students who are freshers, have limited exposure, have limited money, and who would like to do MBA from just another institution then this is the right place.
For me, this is an absolute junk, just like Sud Singh, I wish not to join this institution even if I might have/might make it to the program.

some of my friends are studying in iims , mdi , imt and other top b schools of india. when they gave their gd round , according to them it was pathetic , people didnot know there , what to speak and when to speak.
so if u found this in xiss , i don't think so u have seen something which u didn't expect.
second thing . if someone is not able to understand you , how could you say that he does not have enough knowledge.
